iPhone 5 Officially Revealed: Bigger Screen, Thinnier & LTE
Apple has officially announced his next-generation gadget, the iPhone 5, at the company’s press event at Yerba Buena Center for the Arts in San Francisco, which attracted worldwide attention. The impatience during the presentation was prolonged by statistics and charts of iPad, iPhone and iPod sales.
The highlight of the day, the unveil of the iPhone 5, did not come as a shock considering the huge amount of rumors and leaks during the latest weeks.
The iPhone 5 has a completly new design, a larger 4-inch Retina Display (its resolution is 1,136 x 640 pixels) and an improved A6 processor. As you expected it is 18% thinner than the iPhone 4S, 20% lighter, and is made out of glass and aluminum.
It is the first iPhone with LTE connectivity, and it is going to be available on the networks of AT&T, Verizon and Sprint, as well as many others across the globe.
The old connector has been replaced with a new one called Lightning connector, 80% smaller than the old dock connector, and has the extra advantage of being reversible.
We also have new earbuds, which are called EarPods, crafted to fit many different kinds of ears first, then built speaker drivers to fit them.
The front-facing camera is an HD FaceTime camera and the rear iSight is 8 megapixels and has a panorama mode that can combine many photos into a single image. It is 40% faster and the image stabilization for your videos is now improved.
Regarding Siri, now she can launch apps, post tweets and updates on Facebook and she even knows sports scores.
