FUSEChicken Bobine: The Cable That Charges Your Phone in Midair

by on November 18, 2012

Tripods do a lot for us, but one thing they’ve never excelled at is charging our phones. We’re ready to fix that right now!

From now on, we’re using the FUSEChicken Bobine, a phone charging cable that’s also a flexible tripod.

What we have here is a two-foot-long cable that comes in iPhone and micro USB versions. It holds its shape when you bend it, so you can use it as a tripod — flex it, loop it, wrap it around whatever you see! In fact, it might be your most portable tripod: coil it like a regular cable and take it anywhere.

The Bobine does double duty, charging your phone while holding it steady. Since you don’t have to worry about your phone’s battery, you can use it to take really long videos, or use an app to shoot great timelapses. Also it can sync your devices whilst using it as a supportive stand.

Even when it’s not charging anything, it makes a great tripod. You can bend it into a cobra so your phone can stand on its own for a self portrait or group shot anywhere.

This cable can also be used as an adjustable extender: use it to take shots in hard-to-reach places and weird angles.

It works with all iPhones, Android and many other phones.

You can purchase the FUSEChicken Bobine for $32.99 on MobileFun. It is a great gadget: fun and useful.
