What’s the best Christmas present you ever got? Usually, those family gift-giving moments do not even register a blip on YouTube’s statistics, but what this moment did was even better.
Daniel Buckhannan first gifted his father, Don, a fedora that is similar to the hat Alabama coach Bear Bryant might have worn on the sidelines in Tuscaloosa. That was all Don was expecting and he was ecstatic with that gift alone. Daniel then asks his dad to double check the hat size. This is when Don finds the real Christmas gift from his son.
Are you curious about what caused this viral-worthy reaction? Tickets to the 2013 Discover BCS National Championship, a college football bowl game, between the Alabama Crimson Tide and the Notre Dame Fighting Irish.
The YouTube video, uploaded by Daniel Buckhannan, has seen more than 4.180.000 views since going online last Sunday.
One of the comments on YouTube said“Years from now, you will forget all about the game and this moment will be the one that comes to your mind when thinking of your father. These reactions are priceless and rare. This is by far one of the best Christmas videos I have ever watched. Very heartwarming.”
“Was blessed to be able to give my dad a ticket to the championship game,” Daniel wrote on the YouTube video. So think about what your family really wants when getting a gift for them.
FYI as of December 25th, tickets are sold out, but they were last priced at $975 apiece.
Have any of you been as excited as Don? If so, when and why? Let is know in the comments.
