Internet memes have taken over the internet as it relates to pop culture. Even single pieces of media such as Gangnam Style and Kony 2012 become popular internet memes. Basically an internet meme is something that goes viral.

The Merriam-Webster dictionary included the word meme in its Words of the Year list of 2012. A few memes examples:  Ridiculously Photogenic Guy, Grumpy Cat, Come on, Facebook, Overly Attached Girlfriend, Immature High Schoolers, McKayla Is Not Impressed, Inappropriate Timing Bill Clinton, Almost Politically Correct Redneck, When Did THIS Become Hotter Than THIS, Suburban Hard-Ass. If you are interested in seeing these images, just google the titles and you will find a bunch of them and more. But be careful you do not want to become meme addicted.
