Bryn is on an adventure trip and his venture begins at Telluride as he meets his old friends John and Gabe Lifton. The Liftons have lived here for generations and know the place in and out. There’s something that Bryn would want to explore about this land and the Liftons prove to be good guides for him.

All three of them gear up for the exciting experience and Bryn is all ears when John and Gabe narrate the history of the place- from the time it was purchased by Gabe’s grandfather to the inhabitants of the place, their contribution in making what the place looks like presently etc. Bryn has had a good insight into the history of Telluride and there’s much more to be seen on the way. Quiet roads, tough terrains, lonesome travel- all this only adds more joy to Bryn, thanks to his Land Rover- his travel mate and the Telluride story is only the beginning of the feast for him.

On the way, he expects to find more such remarkable adventures. His journey to off beat roads is just another way of telling us that there is an endless list of things to look out for.

Twitter finally begins the testing ‘buy’ button after months of rumors and some tests by the company. This button helps to make purchases on the site.

Twitter has taken this step towards a larger strategy which the company is planning for engaging its users to buy things online. The users of twitter can shop instantaneously the products they follow. The company also is planning to extend this service in order to increase its revenue.

The buy button will help demonstrate the influence of a tweet in directly driving sales for businesses.

“In some capacity, we’ve been working on it since day one that i have been here,” Nathan Hubbard, the former Ticketmast CEO who joined Twitter a year ago as its first head of commerce, told in an interview. “I think you have seen us do a lot very quietly over the past year that informs where we are today”

Twitter, for this new shopping feature has partnered with Stripe, an online payment service, to process transactions. The company has entered this ecommerce world with promotions such as the facility to add products to their Amazon shopping carts by adding the hastag #AmazonCart. The promotion also includes the partnership with Starbucks to let customers buy a $5 gift card for friends.

This announcement from Twitter came in less than two months after Facebook began testing a “buy” button of its own. The company sees itself as a powerful platform for more spontaneous purchases and limited-time offers.

If the Twitter does well in the testing of the “buy” button the social network platform will emerge as a new e-commerce platform for immediate sales and offers.

On Tuesday Apple has launched its remarkable products such as the iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, Apple pay and Apple watch. With its new products Apple has announced the discontinuation of its  revolutionary product iPod Classic.

The iPod Classic being the one of its kind technology developed by the company represented the line of iPod music players for a long time now. On Tuesday the product was quietly removed from the company’s products.

The company has been on the down-side in encouraging this music player. It was evident from the actions of the company such as no updating the player since 2009 and not mentioning about the product even at the iPod specific products.

The iPod classic has been the biggest of the music players from the company. It was unique in its shape with heavy build material and block type model, also it had the most amount of storage of about whopping 160 GB for music and videos. This storage can hold up to 40,000 songs, according to Apple.

It does not have the most attracting touch-scree which almost now all the devices have. Even without the modern upgrades it still is loved by many of the loyalists.

Hearing the news from the company the iPod classic lovers have bid adieu to the device on social media platforms like Facebook and Twitter . The users reacted with real emotion on the farewell to a “good buddy” and “old friend”. Some also mentioned that it has been the best device and bears a resemblance to the original and other early models.

Let’s be frank, Skype is fantastic for one-on-one interactions or discussing business amongst a small group of colleagues. The problem with Microsoft’s voice-and-video chat software appears when you attempt to do anything other than talk to a handful of people –it gets overwhelmed with messages and voices too quick for much sense to be made of the conversation.

Depending on your goals with an online business meeting, there are a handful of alternatives to Skype that’ll help you get the discussion or presentation done more efficiently.

Group Meetings and Presentations – ClickMeeting

When it comes to full-featured online meetings and presentations, ClickMeeting should be a top choice for professionals. Insofar as Skype functionality is concerned, ClickMeeting has it all and then some.

Featuring audio and video conferencing, moderated Q&As, private chat and full desktop sharing, there are still a ton of options that make ClickMeeting superior for business discussions than Skype. These include rebranded meeting and waiting rooms and instant translation of chat conversation. It’s this kind of flexibility that makes the software a champion when it comes to international business ventures.
Another significant aspect of ClickMeeting that makes it one of our favorites is the ability to integrate social and calendar apps into its usefulness. From sharing webinar information with Facebook and Twitter to scheduling and inviting through Google Calendar, the app assimilation makes setting up and managing meetings painless.

In-app viewer polling, post-meeting statistics and meeting recording options round out this robust replacement to Skype for businesses.

Off-Site Computer-Based Guidance – Mikogo

The name of Mikogo’s game is screen sharing. The program allows for one user, the presenter in our case, to take over another person’s computer (with permission from the other user, of course) to demonstrate precise steps. This is a great option for those who’re demonstrating new software or techniques to new users or off-site employees.
However, the rest of Mikogo’s conferencing features fall in line with most of what other online meeting programs do, including voice conferencing, whiteboard, mobile participation and more. Additionally, one of the problems encountered with the software was a small stuttering lag when taking over others’ computers, which was only a minor annoyance. Otherwise, the web-based viewing options and total remote PC control make Mikogo a go-to program for those of us who don’t want to spend an hour describing something that can be done in five minutes.

Quickest to Get Talking – Google Hangouts

For those times when you just want to use skype but others don’t have it installed, Google Hangouts will usually fill your needs and won’t require much setup. Since it’s likely most anyone you’re trying to do business with has a Google account, all they really have to do is head to the website and click “Get Hangouts” and use it either through Google+ or Chrome. It’s likewise available for install on mobile devices, as are Skype and ClickMeeting.

Another benefit of using hangouts is that it can be broadcast directly -and saved- to YouTube, allowing anyone to watch the replays later; which is great for any presentation that goes over non-proprietary instructional material. Beyond that, Google Hangouts doesn’t really offer much else. The only reason you’d really ever want to use it in a business setting is when you’re having a small conversation, others don’t have another chat program installed, and they already have an account with Google.

Otherwise, your online business communications should be well met with a combination of Skype and ClickMeeting with Mikogo taking the reins for very specific tasks. Whatever the case, good luck with your ventures!

It is reported that the tech giant Microsoft is in advanced talks to acquire the maker of the most interesting game Minecraft. The deal is worth more thatn $2 billion. The sources say that the move was intended to make the most popular games from this maker to be available for the computer giant’s family devices. Yet the sides have to work on many details and a deal could fall through, according to one of the people who spoke on condition of anonymity.

Acquiring the Minecraft would give the company a strong hold on the online world of games. This acquisition by Microsoft is unlike many of the start-ups purchased by big technology companies for billion of dollars because the main reason is that the blocky graphics of the game are crude by today’s standards of the modern games.

Markus Persson, the co-founder Mojang, the privately held Swedish company that makes Minecraft has said in the past that he did not want to sell the company. He also disliked the move to take money from outside investors for the company.

Mojang follows the old way of selling its game. It charges people to buy a copy. The price varies depending on which the game will be played. A version of Minecraft for Microsoft’s Xbox has topped the charts for best selling game for the console, yet it costs only $20.

Minecraft is not available on Windows Phone, the operating system which Microsoft has struggled to turn into a strong competitor to other operating systems.

After Microsoft made an initial offer for more serious talks between the sides, Mojang has hired additional advisers to assist in the discussions. Talks are continuing between them, and an agreement could be reached by the end of the month.

Apple events have been of military precision from its inception for introduction of its flag ship products like iPad and iPhone. The company has been responsible for the radical changes in the technology with its inventions. The company believes that its has did the same for the fifth time on Tuesday by unveiling Apple watch and new iPhone. Apple watch is the most stylish product from the company since it created the iPad in 2010.

The apple event hosted the announcements of two large screen mobiles and a new electronic payment system that allows its users to pay through their phones for their purchases at the stores. This new payment method, called Apple pay is the result of Visa partnering with the tech giant.

Both the new Apple watch and the Apple pay possess the capacity of changing the way things are seen. Through this remarkable products the company and its chief executive, Tim Cook suggest that it has the capacity to invent new products and new services that can define an industry.

Only change that can be observed under Mr.Cook leadership is that, the company is allowing the third party developers to penetrate into the mobile operating system than under Mr.Jobs leadership.

Apple has promised that the new phones will be out this month for the world to buy them. It says that this new Apple pay system will be operational in October. But sadly the Apple watch will no be in stores until the next year.

The event also revealed that the new operating system from Apple, iOS 8 would be available from September, 17. This update would be available for all the devices which can support this.

Talking about the smart watch from the company Mr.Cook has described that it will perform functions similar to those of the many wrist devices that Apple’s competitors have released over the last few years. But , as Apple demonstrated it, its does better than its competitors, with improved hardware and a software interface that looks easier to use.

The ultimate success of Apple’s smart watch and its new fine line products, iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus and its lasting utility to users won’t be known for months or years to come. This apple event was the most anticipated event worldwide and hope the audience are satisfied with the new tech and gear from the tech giant, Apple.

Though the big Apple news item of the day had to be the debut of the groundbreaking Apple Watch, there was also plenty of other news to go around from the California computer manufacturer as well. What might that be, you ask? How about word of new iPhones, the release date for iOS8 and a new mobile pay system?

First, the new iPhones. Apple made it clear it is going after the likes of Samsung and its popular large mobile smartphone formats with the debut of the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus. Dubbed as “the biggest advancements in iPhone history” and pricing at around $200 and $300 starting, respectively, both models will be available September 19 in the U.S. The biggest things to note here, all packaged up in slick new thin and seamless designs, are the 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch Retina HD displays. That makes these new models larger then the current iPhone 5 units, while at the same time sporting new “second generation 64-bit desktop-class architecture” that powers the pre-installed iOS 8 and offers very advanced HD camera and video functions.

Speaking of iOS 8, Apple said its latest mobile operating system will be available to those not purchasing an iPhone 6 as a free software update starting September 17. There’s a lot of new functionality packed into this new iOS, such as updated Messages and Photos features; predictive typing for Apple’s QuickType keyboard; Family Sharing, which keeps a group connected through a shared family photo stream and calendar; the Health app, which gives one a clear overview of health and fitness data; and iCloud Drive that allows for remote storing and access of files.

And, finally, there’s Apple Pay. Defined as “a new category of service that will transform mobile payments with an easy, secure and private way to pay,” it essentially allows one to pay through NFC technology a host of vendors such as the Apple Store, Bloomingdale’s, Disney Store and Walt Disney World Resort, Duane Reade, Macy’s, McDonald’s, Sephora, Staples, Subway, Walgreens and Whole Foods Market. It supports credit and debit cards issued by many popular banks, and is available on both the new iPhone 6 models and the Apple Watch through a built-in antenna design and dedicated chip.

It’s been rumored and talked about and may well be the most non-officially hyped product of 2014, but it also looks to be a new category killer stepping into the developing wearables tech niche. Apple is out now officially with word of its forthcoming Apple Watch, declaring it the computer maker’s “most personal device ever.”

The Apple Watch, which will be coming to retail and wrists everywhere in early 2015 for a starting price of almost $350, is designed to define a new generation of technology from the company in much the same way the iPod Click Wheel or iPhone Multi-Touch did for previous Apple offerings. An iOS-based user interface created for smaller devices will work with something being called the Digital Crown, which is being hyped by Apple as “an innovative way to scroll, zoom and navigate fluidly, without obstructing the display.” It will also serve as the Home button on the watch and provide an easy way to access that fun loving personal digital assistant Siri. It is, for all intensive purposes, the same side knob you would use on an analog watch to set the time and date.

There is a lot going on in this digital smart watch which, by the way, will be available in three different collections dubbed Apple Watch, Apple Watch Sport and Apple Watch Edition. With in them, for example, is something called Force Touch, “a technology that senses the difference between a tap and a press, providing a new way to quickly and easily access controls within apps.” This is joined by “Taptic Engine” and a built in speaker to quietly “enable an entirely new vocabulary of alerts and notifications you can both hear and feel.”

Apple is aiming to make its new Watch offerings not look too much like a calculator design, creating products available in two different sizes, 38 mm and 42 mm. They are crafted “from custom alloys of polished or space black stainless steel, space gray or silver anodized aluminum and 18-karat rose or yellow gold.” Also of note here is a range of watch straps that include leather and modern styles. Charging of the watch is done through “a unique charging system that combines Apple’s MagSafe technology with inductive charging for a quick connection that snaps into place.”

Functions of note for the Apple Watch, which features Wi-Fi 802.11b/g and Bluetooth 4.0 to pair with your iPhone, include Activity and Workout apps that help motivate you to be active by providing data from the accelerometer, a built-in heart rate sensor, GPS and Wi-Fi from your iPhone for information such as calories burned, brisk activity and how often you stand up during the day; 11 customizable watch faces that can display information such as upcoming events, moonphases or your activity level; messaging that can be started on the watch and finished on an iPhone; and digital payment of items like coffee through Apple Pay.

Should all of this not be enough, Apple is also opening up the Watch to developers through WatchKit, which will let them create new apps to further enhance your on-wrist experience.

Looking for a better high performance home audio experience? Harman Kardon thinks it may have what you are looking for in the form of two new wireless speakers and a special wireless adapter which can be used in tandem to turn your wired HD audio system into something you can enjoy in places where no wires can go.

What’s dubbed as the new Harman Kardon Omni system comprises three products: Omni 10 and Omni 20 wireless HD loudspeakers and the Adapt plug-in. Pricing at around $200, $300 and $130, respectively, these items all make use of Blackfire Research wireless media technology. At the heart of this is the Adapt, which plugs into your already in place audio equipment in order to make it Wi-Fi enabled and compatible with the speakers.

Making use of a special app, you can combine two to five speakers to create a multi-channel listening experience that can be placed in any room within range of the Adapt. Functions such as “One Touch Follow Me Audio” let one go from room to room with the same music follow you along, while another feature dubbed “Link Button Speaker Control” lets one cycle through multiple songs that are being played wirelessly before choosing to enter a “party mode” that plays the same music through all speakers.

Support for up to  24-bit/96kHz audio streaming is enabled through the Omni system, and besides the default app Harman is making available to control all of this custom applications can be added to extend the system functionality, thanks to an open programming interface being introduced to leverage third-party app development.

How much TiVo do you need exactly? The digital tech company, known for its pioneering digital video recorder technology, has since 1999 been slowly increasing the storage capacity of its popular set top box. They’ve now announced their biggest offering to date, capable of holding approximately 24 terabytes of programming.

Put another way, the new TiVo Mega is designed to host over 26,000 hours of standard definition television shows or 4,000 hours of HD. Why you would need this much capacity is beyond the mind of this mere mortal, but to be clear there will likely be plenty of TV watching junkies out there jumping at the possibilities. To help fill up that RAID 5 HDD storage as quickly as possible this DVR is equipped with six tuners, allowing you to record up to six shows at once.

Like other TiVos before it, the Mega model has many of the other features its smaller brethren share tucked into its user interface. This includes support for a range of streaming Internet entertainment services such as Netflix and YouTube; universal search across cable, video on demand and web apps; personalized suggestions on what to watch; editorial collections based on current events or categories and a channel guide with filters to more quickly help find what you want to watch.

Besides these features, the TiVo Mega comes with a full QWERTY-format slide out keyboard remote and support for a smartphone app that lets you manage the DVR remotely for functions such as scheduling programs to record. This product is expected to be available in the first quarter of next year at what’s projected to be a jaw dropping $5,000.

Have you ever wanted to have your name in lights? How about your tweet in a time capsule adrift in space? The latter is something you may very well be able to do shortly, courtesy of the folks at NASA. The U.S. government arm charged with exploring the depths of space is soliciting short messages from the public that could be placed in a time capsule aboard a spacecraft launching to an asteroid in 2016.

NASA said its Origins-Spectral Interpretation-Resource Identification-Security-Regolith Explorer, or OSIRIS-REx, is a spacecraft that will hopefully hook up with the asteroid Bennu in 2019, snag a sample from it and return that sample in a capsule to Earth in 2023 for detailed study. The mission, which is robotic in nature, will spend over two years at the over 1,700 foot asteroid as it spins through space.

As for what you can make the short message (images are being accepted as well) say in order to get the attention of the mission team, the topic needs to be about solar system exploration in 2014 and predictions for space exploration activities in 2023. It needs to be submitted via social media, according to NASA, by September 30, after which 50 tweets and 50 images will be chosen for the capsule.

Barring any unforeseen incidents, such as little aliens intercepting the capsule to study the thoughts of early 21st century humans in a time of short character communication, whoever is on the NASA mission team in 2023 when the capsule returns will open it to view the messages and images. These will be placed as well, at that time, online for the world to see, so make sure to bookmark the time capsule page to check it again early next decade.

There was a time not too long ago, at least according to tech years, in which Sony was the dominate force in handheld electronics. People would be in awe at the release of a new Walkman. That was until Apple came along with all of its iDevices. Now Sony seems content to trot along in the shadow of its rival, unveiling new media players it perhaps still hopes will one day top the sales charts. The latest thrown out there for your consideration is the Walkman NWZ-WS613.

Sony said the Walkman NWZ-WS613 digital audio player, which is waterproof up to 2.0 m depth for 30 minutes, is its latest generation offering that’s wearable and also doubles as a Bluetooth headset that you can pair with your favorite smartphone (cough, iPhone, cough) to hear music straight from. Should you instead want to hear tunes from your Sony player, fear not, as it will let you store music in its on-board memory that you can enjoy in a standalone fashion.

There are some interesting touches built into this digital Walkman, including a wrap around design that hosts special earbuds; a so-called “ring-type remote commander” that’s wireless, low power and controls music playback/lets one accept calls while on the move; support of AAC and apt-X audio codecs and support for a Sony app you install on your mobile phone that allows for control of compatible Sony audio devices.

As for pricing and availability, expect to find the Sony Walkman NWZ-WS613 at retail outlets beginning next month at around $160.

Facebook, the new home of every internet user has become the platform for sharing the videos and obtaining huge likes and shares. For instance Beyonce has posted a video of behind the scenes and preparations for her live performance last month on Facebook and YouTube. In the first four hours, Facebook users have hit the view 2.4 billion times whereas during the same period on YouTube it was played only few thousand times.

The above is one such examples to say firmly that Facebook has become the primary platform for sharing the video content online. Undoubtedly YouTube is the biggest online store of videos but the trend has been changing recently as users use this social network for their videos.

For celebs and other important personalities, fb.com has become the sole platform to communicate content to fans and receive their love through likes and shares. The followers see the video and share the same which in turn gets more shares and finally increasing the number of views. The news feed of the social network has made the content circulation more rapid than ever and to any corner of the world. This content sharing also helps in marketing and making money out of the ads posted on the video page.

According to stats, Facebook has served up an average of a billion video views a day, a two-thirds of them on mobile devices. About a hundred million new videos are uploaded every month.

Now, Facebook plans to announce some new tools for video publishers which helps them to monitor and improve the performance of the video content so posted. Most important tool being offered is the public counter which shows the number of times a video has been watched.

Hope this new tools helps the publishers to know the most trending genre which has been almost impossible till now.

The tech giants around the world have now aimed to make the home smarter with the smart devices so developed. The idea of Smart Home has been on the papers from a long time. The tech companies have been developing unique ideas to make the most use of the resources available to make the home a sweet and smart home.

The plans of the tech companies are on the show at the IFA consumer electronics conference, Berlin.

Tech companies such as Siemens, Bosch, Panasonic and Philips have introduced their new Internet-connected household products. The reception to these products is closely monitored by the likes of big tech giants like Google and Samsung as they have also jumped into this incipient in the recent months.

Despite the efforts from these electronics giants to make smart household products many of the consumers do not see the need for these smart appliances and connected devices. The new technology so developed by the companies often remain prohibitively expensive, this might be one of the reasons for the users reaction.

Consumers are being skeptical about these products. But on the other hand companies are planning to have an extensive research and aggressive marketing about their smart home devices. The analysts at technology research company IDC say that the companies are in a race to gain the market that could be valued at almost $9 trillion by the end of the decade.

Google has spent billions of dollars to obtain the smart-thermostat maker Nest Labs, while Samsung Electronics last month bought SmartThings, a start-up that makes accessories to connect home appliances. Adding to this, Apple has announced its plans to allow its devices to control everything from heaters to light bulbs through new software called HomeKit.

The competing interes in home appliances may lead to unexpected problems. Let us all wait and see till what extent are the smart home appliances penetrate the smart devices market.

To improve the machine’s ability to see the world around has been the challenge for the computer scientists. This is possible with more accurate mathematical calculations involved in the large scale visual recognition. This improvement was visible in contest results released for the annual challenge to measure improvements in the state of machine vision technology.

The Large Scale Visual Recognition Challenge this year was actually started in 2010 by Stanford, Princeton and Columbia University scientists. This year the contest drew 38 entrants from 13 countries. The groups use advanced software to detect, locate and classify a huge set of images taken from Internet sources like Twitter.

The programs so developed by the groups would run them on high-performance computers based in many cases on specialized processors called graphic processing units.(G.P.U).

The results revealed that in this year competition the accuracy of the output has almost doubled and the error rates have been cut in half when compared to the previous results, according to the organizers.

“This year is really what I consider a historical year for the challenge,” said Fei-Fei Li, the director of the Stanford Artificial Intelligence Laboratory and one of the creators of a vast set of labeled digital images that is the bases for the contest. “What really excites us is that performance has taken a huge leap.”

The accuracy has taken higher steps in results of the competition held in 2012 and this year says one of the organizers. This year the entrants are also provided with the option of disclosing their algorithms which could make their research a commercial product.

Machine vision has countless applications, including computer gaming, medical diagnosis, factory robotics and automotive safety systems.

This year almost all of the entrants used a variant of an approach known as a convolutional neuraal network which helped in increasing the accuracy results from 22.5 percent to 43.9 percent this year and also the error rate fell to 6.6 percent from 11.7 percent according to Olga Russakovsky, a Stanford University graduate researcher who is the lead organizer for the contest.

This is phenomenal achievement in field of object recognition. Although this is prominent, the ability to comprehend the same in human language is even more challenging.

Yahoo, the tech giant is definitely focused to bring the fame for its once-mighty ad business. For this it has acquired the startup Luminate, a  service that focuses on advertising on top of online images. The Internet giant is making all the possible attempts in order to gain a huge business.

The acquisition was confirmed by Yahoo representatives in a reported news. The terms of the deal were not disclosed.

The ad network was founded in 2008 in Mountain View, California and now it has more that 180 million users and more than 6 billion views each month, according the ad company’s website. This service include layering of product, display and text ads over images. The CEO of this company believes that this would definitely benefit both the sides of the deal.

This buyout is just the latest of the president and CEO Marissa Mayer’s more than 40 buyouts since she took the position more than two years ago. Last quarter the display revenue of the company fell 7 percent from the same period last year clearly marking the decline of the advertising business. Yahoo has made this move to gain back the dominance in the online ad world which is now held by young competitors like Facebook.

The move also comes as Alibaba, the Chinese e-commerce company in which Yahoo holds a large stake, has announced to hike the upcoming initial public offering from $60 to $66.Yahoo will retain 16.3 percent stake after the IPO. The IPO is yet to come and Yahoo has a stake as large as 22.6 percent of the company.

The Chinese company wants to make an amount of $24.3 billion through this initial public offering. Yahoo could rake in more than $8 billion before taxes. The internet giant has promised to return half of the IPO proceed to shareholders. The remaining amount could fund other Mayer’s acquisition.

Over the internet nothing can hide from being hacked, The hackers always do find ways to hack the accounts using different techniques. This proves that everything over the internet is vulnerable and can be stolen or can be misued. Finding a hack-proof account will be a blind chase. If you have not found your to be hacked till now, god, you have been very lucky until. But there is always a possibility that any account can be hacked at any time.

In this few lines of the article i would like to give you three essential steps that keeps your account a little more secure than present. Although these steps do not guarantee you 100% safe account without getting affected by malicious data theft, following them would definitely make your account less vulnerable from the hacker attacks.

Don’t Resue Passwords

Reusing the password for lot many accounts the user has, is the biggest mistake of all. Breaking into using a remade key is difficult but if all the other locks also have the same key, it is feast for the robber. Same applies for the connected world and that is the reason why people rush to try the passwords on other sites if one service has a breach (say Yahoo or LinkedIn) . People use their smartness for their password schemes. Although it seems different password to them the small changes in the “same password” will be identified by the machine, if not by a human being.

Set Up Two-Factor Authentication

The two-step authentication is not as complex as it sounds. It is just that whenever a try to log into your account from a new location ( new computer, new location) is made this enabled service would send you a number that is used to authenticate the log in trial. The number would be a random 6-digit that would be sent to you as a message. Mostly it is set it and forget it service provided by the sites.

Use Password Manager

The password manager helps to create and manage your passwords. A good password manager would provide the user with strong passwords and manages them. All you need to remember is only the master password for the manager. All your passwords would be stored as encrypted message that can be unlocked only by the master password. Get the best Password Manager and be safe.

The IFA show this year has become the host of magnificent devices such as the smart watches, high end mobiles and tablets. The device also include the thinnest tablets and 2-in-1 PCs, many of them made possible by the Intels’s new low power Core M chips.

Intel first teased the world with its new invention earlier in the summer, in the form of a 7.2mm thick tablet that was even thinner than the iPas Air. Now this show exhibits so many devices and they are all going for their sales. Thin new adoption of this chip to the various devices explains the capability of the new Core M chips.

These chips fall in family of ” Broadwell”, the one after the current Haswell line. The Core M chip is the follow-on to a specific variant of Haswell processors, the ultra low powered “Y series” which are already used in 2-in-1 PCs. Core M chips promises faster performance and longer battery life.

Going into the technology of the manufacture of this new chips, Intel moved from a 22-nanometer process with Haswell to a 14-nanometer one with Broadwell. This special breed of chips are intended for a more thinner and lighter devices than the former devices. Because of this significant design change by the Intel the motherboard in the new devices alone is 25 percent smaller: the die size, meanwhile, is 37 percent smaller.

The company says that CPU performance is up to 50 percent faster, with Intel’s integrated HD 5300 graphics notching a 40 percent performance improvement. These processors also include Wireless Display 5.0; Intel’s Smart Sound Technology. This new tech helps the device to wake on voice. More CPU options will follow early next year, including some vPro-enabled chips for corporate-issued machines.

Adding to its arsenal Motorola launches its smartwatch Moto 360 Android Wear. Moto 360 has been the most discussed tech wear from Motorola. It has most awaited product of Motorola. The tech enthusiasts wanted to look at Motorola’s approach towards the smart watch category. It was the most exciting news from the tech giant when it teased the world with its smart watch new back in June. But now its gets even more exciting with the launch of the device.

The Hands on reveals that this is easily the most comfortable Android Wear watch yet. The feel of the watch feels great partially due to the leather strap and totally smooth-slightly rounded back of the watch. The comfort is increased by the absence of the metal dots that are present in the other watches for charging.

The display is at the high-end solidness with its solid hunk of glass. It is completely contrary to the thin and flimsy display of LG G watch and Samsung Gear Live. In fact you can tell that the glass is thick only because of the prism-effect at the edge of the watch when you look at it from an angle. The bezel around the glass is nice and thin made out of stainless steel. This thin border lets the user see all what is displayed.

There is distracting blank space at the bottom of the display and on questioning the representatives they have answered that it is where the drivers of the display are present. This is also the place where the ambient light sensor of the device is present, which is not present in the other smart watches mentioned before. This feature helps to see well in the daylight and also to save the battery.

It also has heart sensor which constantly monitors the heart rate. This app also lets the user know about his heart rate zone. This is better than many ways for monitoring health. The company says that its customers can expect updates and added functionality. The battery lasts for about 24 hours with the ambient sensor on.

The smart watch is priced at $250 from Google Play Store, Motorola.com, and BestBuy.com

It has been so far very good and lucky for the hacker community as they were successful in the massive breach at The Home Depot and mass celebrity photo leak. It is good for hackers and mark these events as a milestone in their line of work, but it is bad for everyone else. Hackers are now stronger than ever before breaching the most secure services. And this is why LinkedIn now creates three privacy features to protect user accounts.

LinkedIn has said it will introduce three tools designed to give users more control over the data associated with their accounts. These tools promise to keep the accounts more secure than before and will let the users know the details of the devices on which their account is being handled.

Users now will be able to see every device on which they are logged into LinkedIn to determine whether or not someone has accessed their account without permission. This can be done by going into settings and clicking on “See where you are logged in”. Users also can log out of any session remotely from within this tab.

LinkedIn list of new features also include the feature that allows the users to export all of their LinkedIn data including updates, activity, IP records, and searches. Users can access this information within the settings tab under “Download your data.” This data helps you to analyze everything you have done or not done in turn helping to determine if someone else has posted or searched your account.

Lastly another feature that LinkedIn has developed to secure the accounts is providing additional information to automated password change emails. Now, if the password is changed an email will be sent to the concerned email id which stated the details like date, time, device, browser, operating system, IP address, and approximate physical location in connection with the password change.

LinkedIn has updated these features for the global users and is asking them to check if these features are alive.

Wearable tech has been the field of geeks who want to have a great wearable tech with most functionality embedded into it. But how to tap the untapped market? This is most interesting question for the tech giants who produce and intend to produce dozens of wearable tech in short time span.

All the smart watches so released have been in the negatives when its stylish quotient is considered. For example the Pebble, its release in 2012 was greatly hyped because of its ability to show text messages and emails, but to the lovers of style it looked like a small kindle strapped to your wrist. Smart watches made by LG, Samsung and Sony are not any better with their cheesy leather or rubber strap.

But these ugly genre of watches are all set to change in future. According to a source who works at Apple as a designer, the most talked iWatch is going to be a trouble for Swiss watchmakers. This hints the change, but it is uncertain when this masterpiece from the tech giant is going to be launched.

On Wednesday, Intel, in partnership with Barneys New York and Opening Ceremony, unveiled a new wearable smart bracelet that looks stunning and all nothing but a gadget. This tech-piece is ready to set a trend in the wearable market. This partnership may prove to be the change talked above. Intel says that people especially women would be excited to buy this.

Intel’s smart bracelet is called MICA – My Intelligent Communication Accessory. It comes in two styles that are black snakeskin and pearls, and white snakeskin and obsidian. Both come with curved sapphire screen and built-in wireless radios. The smart bracelet looks absolutely amazing says a person who has seen them in real.

The company’s vice president is confident about the MICA smart bracelet and said that it would become an accessory that people will likely be proud to wear. Everyone but the Swiss watchmakers.

Samsung steps into the world of virtual reality boldly, but with its trusty smartphones strapped along for the ride. The tech giant has introduced Samsung Gear VR, a headset that plugs into the Galaxy Note 4 to create a virtual reality experience not unlike that of the Oculus Rift.

Samsung has partnered with Oculus, the pioneer in virtual reality devices,  for this project. Oculus’ VR store gives the users the content of virtual reality. The Gear VR is fitted with various sensors while the heavy lifting is done by the Galaxy Note 4’s processor and battery.

This new Gear from Samsung splits the resolution of the Note 4’s  518 ppi display resulting in not so super HD experience. The Gear VR will also be able to give users access to concerts, 360 degree tours of cities and locations, among the other things offered.

Oculus and Samsung have worked hand-in-hand on this amazing product, which gives Oculus further penetration in the market and Samsung some credibility. They have established content hitting a brand new market for the first time.

At the launch the Gear VR comes with special content which features a trip to Tony Stark’s laboratory (as a part of a partnership with Marvel’s Avengers: Age of Ultron). IMAX is offering trailers and samples of films to warch in a virtual theater, as well as 360-degree live-action 3D VR for performances like Cirque D Soleil and Zarkana.

Vevo is also contributing the content by offering the access to more than 100,000 HD music videos, live concert events, etc.

Other tech giants are also into virtual reality with Facebook buying Oculus, Google getting more immersed in Glass. Samsung also made it place by this launch. And the reason for this kind of activity could be the realization the market that can be acquired using the virtual reality options.

Samsung once again proves the power of its devices through the release of Gear VR. No word on pricing at the event.

The Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard was instituted to guarantee data security in companies dealing with sensitive information. While the process should be relatively simple and pain-free to achieve, many businesses, whether large or small, struggle with compliance. This can leave their information and customers vulnerable to any possible security problems. With the recent data breaches in the news, your company must pay attention to PCI Compliance to keep both data and people safe while also protecting your business’s bottom line.

In companies that deal with data storage and protection, there are often many issues that arise when attempting to achieve PCI Compliance. By focusing on storing only necessary information, businesses can greatly reduce the scope of what they must protect while also conducting assessments on what can be left out. Assigning a few employees to focus on moving toward compliance is the best way to get this process moving. In addition, deploying payment applications that already adhere to the rules is a guaranteed way to achieve compliance. Companies should also consider outsourcing operations containing sensitive information such as payment processes. This takes the difficult task off of your employees’ hands and leaves less room for error on the part of your business.

As a whole, achieving PCI Compliance should be a vital part of security strategies for any company that is dealing with secure information and data, specifically that which would need to be encrypted. Check out the infographic below for more information on how to successfully achieve PCI compliance.

NASA had made another mark in its history by successfully testing the most complex rocket engine parts designed by the agency and printed using the 3D printing technology that is additive manufacturing technique. This spectacular act of testing the 3D printed engine parts took place in the test stand at NASA’s Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, Alabama.

The engineers have designed the rocket engine injector, the most important and complex part used for sending the propellant into the engine. Generally this kind of complex design is manufactured with metal alloys using high end machinery. But here in NASA the engineers have taken the advantage of this technology to manufacture this design. The design was fed into the 3D printer’s computer and it started the process in a jiffy.

The printer built each part by layering metal powder and fusing it together with a laser, the process is called as selective laser melting. Thus forming the required structure with precision and accuracy. This additive manufacturing process allowed rocket designers to create an injector with 40 individual spray elements, all printed as a single component rather than manufactured individually.

The injector which was obtained was designed to have size of injector used to power small rockets and at the same time the design is similar to that of large engines such as R-25 engine that will power NASA’s SLS.

Manufacturing this complex design would take lot of time and parts. Using traditional methods, 163 indidvidual parts would be made and then assembled. But using this technology only two parts were required, saving money and allowing the engineers to build parts that enhance rocket engine performance and are less prone to failure.

The two rockets so manufactured were tested for five seconds each and the tests show that were producing 20,000 pounds of thrust.

3D printing technology has helped the engineers not only in designing their complex design but also has saved time by making the tests faster and smarter.

This proves that this technology would be a key for enhancing rocket design and enable the missions into deep space.

NASA engine design being tested.

They say that moving home can be one of the most stressful things a person can do, so it follows that moving into new commercial premises can be quite daunting as well. There are things you can do to make it less worrying.

What Do You Need?

As with residential property, there might be some difference between what you want and what you actually need. Starting with a list can help clarify your priorities and see where compromises could be made if necessary. Do you need the premises to look a certain way? Will customers be visiting you? Is location the critical thing?

Type of Property

Lots of small retail or manufacturing businesses start on a kitchen table before graduating to commercial premises. Will the stock rooms at the back be big enough, or do you need a warehouse as well or instead? Bear in mind the difference between the square footage on the particulars and the actual useable square footage, because if the building is a quirky shape, the two figures could be very different.
If you have a service business like a cafe or hairdresser, then location is going to be critical. Not only do you have to be easily accessible, but being visible can have a positive advantage, too. If your business has grown from just a one-man band and you now have employees, consider how much space you need for them now, and how much you might need in the future.

Location

Finding the right spot for your commercial premises has a huge impact on the overall success and profitability of your business. Look at which other businesses are in the immediate vicinity, and where your competitors are in relation to the place you’re looking for. Space is at a premium, particularly in London, so think carefully before committing to a place in the capital. Do your research because there are some great options available. For those looking for commercial property Monument can be a good choice.
Ultimately, keep referring to your original list and make sure potential properties tie in with your business goals.

Rates

Whatever type of property you choose, you will need to factor Business Rates into your running costs. This is a type of tax that goes towards paying for local services. There are some exemptions or discounts available, so check your entitlements.

Physical State

As you would as a residential buyer, get surveys done and understand how much work needs to be done, whether by the vendor, buyer, landlord or tenant. Draw up a schedule of works and ensure there is a project manager (even if it’s yourself) officially appointed to deal with work and queries.

Take your time. View lots of properties and then weigh up the pros and cons of your shortlist. Do your sums and understand what you can afford right now, but try to factor in some future-proofing so you don’t have to move again for some time because the business has outgrown the premises.

Google has been getting all the headlines these days over initiatives of incredible tech like self-driving cars, Project Wing drones for delivering packages. But now the social network giant Facebook has also marching towards the development of new technology. Facebook has acquired at least 100 patents from other companies relating to fields like virtual reality, video, peer-to-peer printing and speech translation.

This was mentioned in a new report by the New York-based research firm specializing in intellectual property. It has been analyzing the patent purchases by Facebook since January 2013. The founder and managing director of this firm, Maulin Shah, points out that these purchases may offer some hints about the new direction taken by Facebook. The possibilities in this new direction may include that range from digital printing services to interactive wearable devices.

Most number of patents have been bought from Fujifilm, the number of patents being 54. Theses patents on a whole are related to image and video compression, image playback, editing and presentation. The company has bought 22 patents from AT&T which cover everything from personalized content delivery to determining relationships within a social network. Another leading source for patents is Vega Vista, from which FB has bought 10 patents relating to head and motion tracking technologies and virtual displays.

Patent acquisitions in fields like speech translation and facial recognition also suggest that Facebook might have new ideas for its future. Although the patent acquisition by Facebook is suggesting a new path being taken it keeps this guessing game alive.

For the record, Facebook has filed around 69 patents in 2009 but in 2012 the number has reached almost ten times the former standing at 649. The most recent year news for the number of patents is yet to be known.(Generally patent applications are published only after an year or more after they are filed, this makes tracking difficult)

Following days of speculation, Apple after successful investigation has said today that the hack of celebrity accounts did not include the breach of iCloud or Find My iPhone. Apple also said that the hackers obtained nude photos of Jennifer Lawrence and other female celebrities by pilfering images from individual accounts rather than through a broader attack on company’s services. The tech giant said it released the results after conducting 40 hours of investigation.

Presumably, hackers breached the accounts of celebrities by writing brute-force software programs to attempt many passwords for email addresses. Apple says that this is a technique that has become all too common on the Internet. To address this problem there are methods like two step verification or requiring multiple authentication.

In the meanwhile these photos are being removed by the sharing websites in response to copyright complaints. However, experts say that there is no way to fully remove the photos from the internet and also that these images may pop up in the future too.

On the other hand FBI has offered no details on its efforts to identify the people responsible for stealing the images that were posted on image-sharing site Imgur.com, social networking sites Reddit and Twitter,  and other websites. Representatives of Twitter, Reddit and Imgur did not respond messages seeking comment.

The company said that it was already cooperating with FBI. Users are being urged by the tech company to use stronger passwords and also to enable a two-step authentication feature to prevent data thefts.

The people who are responsible for stealing Lawrence photos might be tracked by private investigators who can operate faster than the government agents says a former federal prosecutor Rasch.

Watch giant has announced that it will be going to make a solo entry into the smartwatch world. It believes that with new technology from its end can compete with the industry giants like Samsung.

The Swiss giant thinks that all it needs to do is to add more processing power to its wrist wear to make unique and worthwhile smart watch. The company is planning to launch its device some time in 2015 without any partner to anyone else.

Rumors had there way when it was believed that Apple was suggested to partner with the Swiss watch maker. But as suspected it did not happen and is not going to happen. The chief  also insisted that Swatch has been talking to many big electronics manufacturers, but has decided to go it alone, at least partly.

He also added that big technology companies have given positive response for the collaboration and his company would not rule out the possibility of partnership but it believes that it could handle many things related by its own.

With all the new launches of smart watches around the horizon it would be a treat for the smart gadget user. The user can select from wide variety of choices rather than going for only the one which is available in the market.

Now it is the time fitness bands have also gained considerable amount of market share. Their manufacturers like Nike and Adidas are concentrating on its smart sports wear releases to create enough competition.

For Swatch it would be all a different ball game to increase its brand value and to satisfy the needs of the smart user.

The two tech giants have made a deal to develop Nokia’s own Here maps for Samsung Android devices. This deal first tests the beta version of the app on handsets and also the Gear S, smartwatch from Samsung.

Samsung has the been the distinguished manufacturer of Android devices. It has taken complete advantage of the open source OS to turn the fortune in its favor and making it number one in the mobile manufacture industry after Apple.

With this move, to make a deal with Nokia, Samsung would like to distinguish itself from Google’s Maps which is with all the Android devices in the market. Maps division of Nokia was not bought by Microsoft when it acquired the phone-making “devices and services” part in 2013

Formerly know as Nokia maps, Here is also being used by other tech giants like Yahoo, Amazon and Garmin. Also the data for the Microsoft’s Bing search engine is provided by Here maps.

Talking about the maps its service covers 190 countries offering turn-by-turn navigation, tourist information and public transport details. Adding to its features the maps can be downloaded onto the supporting device so that they can be used offline.

Samsung has optimized the maps for its smartwatch Gear S naming it Here for Gear. This is highly optimized application for it run on the wearable. This wrist-worn gadget uses relatively small display for the display of maps.

From the resources it was revealed that Samsung was keen to stop depending on Google for the support in navigation in their devices.

But this new development from Samsung might not be welcomed by all its users says an expert as the user would get confused with increased number of duplicated apps.

It has been three days that the news of stolen celebrity photos has hit the desks of media. Despite  all the speculations about the cloud services being hacked there still has been no rock solid evidence about how the hack has taken place.

There has been outburst of private photos of celebrities over the internet in the past two days with its source at 4Chan website. Hackers have succeeded in intruding into the most secure cloud service iCloud from Apple. One of the hackers has posted on the websites revealing that this act was not a solo act but with cooperation of many hackers. He thanked all the people who have helped him and also stated that he is relocating and will be posting from his new place.

But how many of those leaked photos are genuine, this is what to be answered by the celebrities. Already some of the celebrities have agreed that the photos are their private ones and some have declined the same. However, some individuals tried to maximize their earnings on this. Some individuals offered access to this in exchange for payment in Bitcoin. At least one of these individuals has been “identified” as the leaker but has insisted that he was trying to make some quick profit.

Experts are now trying to figure out the way the hack took place. There are lots of possibilities say one of the experts but there are not sure if the ways really can be fruitful for the hack.

FBI has probed into this considering this case to be the theft of private belongings of the celebrities. And Apple has extended its support for FBI. An official from Apple says that the company is most dedicated to the privacy of its users and will do all it can in the investigation.

WhatsApp has become the most demanded, loved app from the day it was launched. It provides the messaging feature at free cost over the internet. So what’s in store for WhatsApp lovers?

According to a news report, the mobile messaging application WhatsApp is going to be getting its new feature of voice calls. At the Mobile World Congress earlier this year, WhatsApp CEO Jan Koum announced that the company plans to add the voice services to the flagship application during the second quarter. This could really change the way mobile is being used these days. Amongst different service providers the company believes that it is really going to be profitable for the company.

During his announcement the CEO of the company has stated that this new feature is set to launch firstly to the Android and iOS platform which would be carried later to the other platforms such as Nokia and Blackberry phones. Now it seems that this new feature is set to launch very soon.

In the recent revelation by WPCentral, the volunteers who translate the app’s Hindi version  were apparently asked to translate new strings. The translation requests were made for the trigger words such as ‘Hang up’, ‘Incoming call’ and ‘Outgoing call’. These requests clearly indicate the upcoming voice calling functionality.

There have been some leaked images of the UI of the app. These “images show that the app has been enabled with other language translations which will be displayed at the time a person receives a call via WhatsApp” a report on thefusejoplin.in.

WhatsApp is reportedly having 600 million active users. To all the WhatsApp lovers this feature is really going to be a treat

Computer has been the invention for a life time. Now researchers taking the full advantage of this wonderful machine are creating wonders like Hi-Tech cars, smartphones etc. But are these smart , complex systems free from hacker attacks?

Modern day cars are also equipped with number of ECU’s( Electronic Control Unit) which controls one of the sub system of the car. These chips connect to a network that gives the user an overall wonderful driving experience. All the ECU embedded systems are not from the car-makers but from third party companies which often will not reveal how the system works. It just guides the technicians at the car-maker’s company how to use the system.

But the system has been inspected by the researchers for its transparency and its vulnerability towards attacks. The tests have revealed not-so impressive results. The earlier hacking tests involve getting the physical access to the Hi-Tech car.

The researchers say that if access to the vehicle either physically or remotely is obtained, the vehicle can be essentially controlled. The researches have taken the tests of 21 vehicles separately testing the different parameters.

The report from the scientists found problems wherever it was looked for – in wireless tyre pressure sensors, telematics controllers and even anti-theft systems. Though there have  been no reported incidents of hacking the vehicles remotely it is high time that car-manufacturers look into this matter more seriously than before.

Now car manufacturers have realized that it is essential from their end to provide the best service through connected car. In Europe and the US there are moves to set up so called eCall systems that automatically contact emergency services when a vehicle has been involved in a serious accident.

The researchers conclude the report by saying that there has to be done lot more in the R&D of the companies. And it is going to take some time for more secure standards of the cars.

Videos shot from a fixed location and angle over an extended period of time are called time-lapse videos. Now Instagram has launched its new app Hyperlapse to get time-lapse videos moving. Instagram has launched this amazing app for iPhone users. This app lets the users have this amazing experience of creating shake-free images .

The key feature of this free app is the stabilization engine that takes the advantage of the iPhone‘s built-in gyroscope to keep images free from shaking. The Hyperlapse users can shoot their videos without the wiggling.

This is one of the best reviewed app for Apple‘s iPhone. Hyperlapse is unlike Instagram, which is a social sharing app for images. Hyperlapse is more of a video creating tool with the best possible resources on the hardware of iPhone.

The UI of this application is dead simple and needs no log in with an Instagram or Facebook account. However when you are done with the shooting of your videos you can post to this two social networks and receive the love for your images & videos.

The videos from this application look professional with the simplest procedure to shoot them. Open the app, tap to focus, and start recording. You can speed up the shot video in the playback to 12 times. For changing the speed you have a slider. The Hyperlapse videos can run up to 45 min on iPhone5 and 10 min on iPhone 4.

Instagram has been keen on revolutionizing the tech. Hyperlapse is its second stand-alone app. Instagram’s parent company Facebook has been more aggressive with pushing our stand-alone apps to reach greater demand and new ideas of the public.

Hyperlapse is available only on the iPhone. The limitations in Android‘s API will keep this app off for some time.

Boeing has made the once impossible thought to be possible by testing unmanned F-16 named QF-16.

When the idea of drones was taken up by the military it was criticized and was given a thumbs down during its initial stages. Now having a unmanned flight tested Boeing has made its name for history.

The QF-16 is the modified version of F-16 which is human controlled but QF-16 is controlled remotely by a human pilot. This was developed with the main intention that the weapon companies can test their weapons against it.

The Fighter Falcon is specially designed for air combat.Boeing has tested this fighter plane against the missile targeting it. Though the missile did not hit the plane which it was not intended it proved that unmanned fighter planes are future designs of combat vehicles. The missile and the airplane will have sensors that will let the researchers know whether the weapon test was a success of a failure.

The QF-16 can do everything that a F-16 can do be it maneuvering, targeting many more. This unmanned aircraft helps to take 9G as this would be have adverse effect on any human in the plane thereby increasing the usability and efficiency of the fighter plane.

The mission responsible for the development of this machine is the need of moving targets for validating the weapon systems. Real pilots get trained using this as their target which increases their targeting skills.

Alienware Area 51, who does not know what this name refers to. For all those who need an introduction to this masterpiece, Alienware is a computer hardware subsidary of Dell. This hardware is designed especially for gaming purposes.

Over the years Alienware has been undergoing changes in the way it looks. Now after a few years of industrial makeover the company has now produced the most unique design for its hardware Area-51.

The Alienware Area 51 desktop gaming PC has this new design which cannot be categorically placed in triangular or hexagonal design section. It has something-between-the-two design which is intentionally done in order to maintain airflow and keep the system cool. This peculiar design has the advantage of maintaining good airflow even when placed against the wall.

From tower desktop design of PC the transformation of it to this new design the developers have put in great time and effort to manufacture this productive, stylish and magnificent machine. The corners are provided with handles to lug the machine around.

The shell cover seems damage proof. Inside it there is a support for up to three full-length graphics card, Intel’s best and brightest Core i7 six- and eight-core Haswell-E CPUs. All are overclockable and liquid-cooled. Alienware Area 51 is supported by DDR4 RAM. All the specifications and the design lure the gamers to try this gaming beast.

The early announcement of this has not come with any pricing or release dates but it is expected to be seen in market later this year.

From decades passwords have been the only way to login into your account be it a banking account, e-mail account etc. But has it been easy for you to remember all the passwords for all your accounts? How confident are you that your password would never be cracked?

Remembering the passwords has been the uphill task all along. The only way to have an easy access to all accounts is to have a same password or have a note of all passwords. Both are equally dangerous. The theft of passwords has been on rise at alarming frequency. Choosing simple words would be easy to remember but it would become easy for hackers to guess

The recent report theft of 1.2 billion email passwords by the Russian hackers earlier this month is another largest breach of security because of this flawed system. But what are the other alternatives?

The simplest and low cost option is security through facial recognition. As it is the facial features that differ among people except identical twins. Adding voice recognition would tighten up the screws of security.

Other ways include digital portrait and sound of your voice through voice print analysis. There also could be association with contextual information such as GPS data from a mobile phone or time of day. If there is any try in logging at unusual time or place it could alert the user and additional information could be requested for authentication.Biometrics compiled along with series of challenges could really spot the unauthentic login trial.

Although such complex systems are being designed to increase the security and decrease the hacker attacks password system is widely accepted as this offers a reasonable level of security at a very low cost. This makes this system most widely adopted system worldwide.

Google, the Mountain View, California based technology mogul has announced today that it is preparing drones to compete with Amazon’s Prime Air.

Google follows Amazon in announcing that it is developing consumer delivery-facing drone technology.

Amazon previously announced that it is in process to develop drones capable to deliver small packages to shoppers.

The two companies have diverse visions, since Google aims to heading towards facilitating incredibly instant delivery, possibly in mere two minutes, as reported by The Atlantic.  Amazon, however, is concentrating on a thirty minutes delivery.

Amazon is however more nuanced in sourcing a surfeit of goods and ship them. It also has a far reasonable time probability.

Google’s drones are anticipated to lower goods to the ground from over, whereas Amazon wants to land.

Non-military drones are still in a very budding realm of technology, but certainly maturing vastly owing to infusion of corporate investment.

Google also is working on self-driving cars, and has shelled monies into Uber via its venture arm.

Such tactics make its drone efforts more competent in a broader attempt into moving physical items about the world in an on-demand basis instead of juggling with scientific trials & errors.

The Atlantic also noted earlier today that Google’s technology seems to be still nascent: The build quality is charming.

From far away, it appears glossy and complete, and it’s loaded with custom-built electronics, but up close, it’s clear that the corpse itself is handmade and hacked jointly.

Google’s and Amazon both still will face a rigid regulatory regime at the U.S. Federal Aviation Authority (FAA) that has so far not allowed commercial drone use. However, it is supporting various official drone testing sites.

Google and Amazon will have to build safe drone fleets that are useful for the average consumer to want to expect, and are also economically viable.

The omnipotent tech giant Google has established its “moonshot” lab Google X with a special purpose to produce technologically advanced machines useful for the mankind. Google has revealed that its lab has spent the last two years building a drone that can deliver goods across the country. The company has named this effort as Project Wing.

This drones, sefl-flying vehicles open up many opportunities in moving things and delivering things to the customers from the retailers. This also is eco-friendly as this reduces the number motor vehicles thereby reducing the pollution. This also would change the way we do the things today.

The tech research arm Google X is also responsible for the development of self-driving car from Google. The firm also says that it has a long-term goal to develop drones that could be used for disaster relief in delivering aid to isolated areas.

According to the sources at Google, the Project Wing team recently has tested this drone prototypes in Australia for delivering packages to local farmers.Though the project mates did not agree for revealing any further information it can be definitely understood that Google would put in more research to integrate additional features to this futuristic machine for commercial purposes.

The test took place in Australia where the rules for the use of drones are not as tighter like in other parts of the world. The testing of this prototype has been filmed and is receiving immense response on the video platform YouTube.

This drone differs from the military drone which is controlled remotely by a pilot on the ground. Hope Google becomes successful in its trial and wish to see this helping drones sooner in the market.

Space Launch system- SLS is the most powerful rocket till date designed by the scientists at NASA to transport humans to Mars. This rocket which is scheduled for launch in 2018, is going to make the first step for a manned mission to  Mars in 2030s. In over 40 years this launch would be the first heavy lift from the agency.

The SLS will host the Orion spacecraft which carries the Mars explorers. For its test in 2018 the SLS would carry the uncrewed Orion spacecraft beyond the low-Earth orbit. The test  flight SLS will be configured with a 70-metric ton life capacity which would rise to 130 metric ton capacity for its final version. This particular design with huge lift capacity will help missions as far as the Mars.

The Associate Administrator and process overseer Robert Lightfoot said that they owe to the American Taxpayers who have entrusted in them for this ambitious space exploration. He also said that they have committed the funding level and readiness date to keep things on  track after a careful and rigorous review.

The Orion spacecraft is scheduled for an uncrewed test flight on its own on December 4 of this year. For its test flight it would be attached to a Delta IV Heavy rocket. This test flight will test several parameters required for a successful mission. These parameters include the Orion’s key systems, avionics, heat shielding and parachutes of the spacecraft.

“We are keeping each part of the program- the rocket, ground systems and the Orion- moving at its best possible speed toward the first integrated test launch” said NASA Exploration Systems Development director Bill Hill. He also added ” We are on a solid path toward an integrated mission and making progress in all three programs every day”

The first of three SLS rockets is cost around $7.021 billion, with an entire project around $12 billion.

In a few weeks from now there is going to be the launch of iPhone 6 and Samsung Galaxy Note 4. With this launch it is likely that there would be a great change in smartphone market by increasing the demand for a phablet.

These flagship mobiles yet to be launched are expected to come with larger sizes. With Samsung Galaxy Note 4 having the huge 5.7 inch display it is speculated that there would be launch of 4.7 and 5.5 inch iPhone 6 making a phablet a buzz word. Adding to this Motorola’s Moto x+1 to be introduced is rumored to have screen larger than 5-inches.

The phablet devices faced the criticism of being overgrown as its screen size where near or beyond 5-inch which was fixed to the threshold. But today according to multiple surveys, overgrown seems to be the most demanded device in the market. With stunning display technologies the phablet-size devices have become the most loved devices.

And this is why the world renowned apple, which once famous for creating and leading the mobile market division, has made the necessary changes in its new design to supply the increasing demand.

Analyzing the survey data, a survey conducted by Kantar Worldpanel ComTech for 20,000 volunteers who purchased a smartphone during the first quarter of this year among which 42 percent agree that bigger screen appeals them the most.

Mobile analytics also show that iPhone fans who had their love for smaller screens are now drifting towards larger screen devices.

So, larger the screen size greater is the demand for the phablet-size devices. After looking at the results of analysis still not convinced about the bigger screens then one man can convince you, Steve Wozniak, Apple co-founder. He recently said that he would definitely like to see iPhone with a bigger screen.

Hope you are convinced. If not try out a larger screen device and re-think about screen sizes.

Revocharge has been a company who has been thoroughly working to provide a convenient solution for wireless charging. They have found the answer for this challenge with the help of little magnets. The product is now being designed to work with mounts and stands . It also is provided with portable battery that can charge the smartphones on the go.

The manufacturers are promising that this would be useful to anyone making wireless charging simpler. The system contains a magnetic smartphone case that connect to portable and dock based chargers. It uses conductive charging for transfer of power alongside Autosense, a technology which determines the correct amount of power for the device its charging. The developers of this tech promise that this will charge the handset at the same speed that of the wall outlet.

The functionality of Revocharge is as simple as putting the case on and snapping on the battery. This avoids the usage of wires for charging your phone. While you are near the wall outlet you can simple attach the cased phone to the dock and leave the snap-on plugged in while charging your mobile phone.

Revocharge also helps to sync your music, data and contact with your laptop. All you need to do for this is to just put on the case and rest it on the universal connector. The case come up with a magnet which  can be used to have the phone intact to the connector even in movement. The company provides a desk or car mount which can charge your phone and the portable battery at one go.

This wireless charging tool can charge iPhone 5s/5c, iPhone 6, HTC One (M8) and Samsung S4/S5. Thought the size and capacity of the battery is not yet fixed exactly the sources say it could be around 2000 mAh-3000 mAh.

This tech is available at US$79 in limited numbers and once those run out the price jumps to US$99. Be the first ones to get it, at a cheaper price.

Pluralsight, the online technology training service has raised a gigantic $135 million in new financing as it aims to consolidate its position as a key player in personal and professional continuing IT education.

“We believe in the vision we have of democratizing professional education,” opines Pluralsight chief executive Aaron Skonnard to TechCrunch’s Jonathan Shieber, and in fact the company’s investors opine the same too.

Insight Venture Partners guided the big Series B round, which also comprised involvement from the Silicon Valley-based multi-family office investment firm ICONIQ Capital and Sorenson Capital. The fresh round provides Pluralsight a valuation near to $1 billion, according to Skonnard.

“The pre-money valuation is in the high sevens,” Skonnard states. “Then we raised $135 million, so it’s rounding up close to $1 billion.” Pluralsight had raised $27.5 million from Insight Venture Partners in a preceding round in January 2013.

This places Pluralsight in the same league as the well-funded tech firms and its rivals like lynda.com and Skillsoft.

The investment is among the largest into a Utah-based technology firm and will be utilized for new acquisitions, the development of new content, and enhanced functionality and features primarily for the company’s mounting list of enterprise customers.

Pluralsight started in 2004 and initially it was mainly focused on the professional programmer looking to perk up their skills and remain on top of the newest technology trends. However overtime it expanded as programmers initiated providing the curriculum to companies to request that their companies actually pay for the training.

Pluralsight, in 2013 and 2014 purchased PeepCode, Tekpub, TrainSignal, and Digital-Tutors. It now brags access to over 3,000 courses of online content and customers in more than 150 countries.

To use Pluralsight, users shell $29 a month and avail access to the library of over 3,000 courses.

Businesses avail an annual license that’s priced at $300 per-seat per-year for Pluralsight. “We have this vision of Pluralsight becoming the de facto training module in corporate groups,” opines Skonnard. “We see Pluralsight emerging as its own certification standard.”

Snapchat, a photo messaging application founded by Stanford grads, Evan Spiegel and Jonathan May in 2011, has received a valuation of $10bn. Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers has agreed to invest in the fast-growing instant message service.

Kleiner Perkins has put Snapchat among most valuable start-ups. Snapchat first launched in July 2011 with the name Picaboo in Spiegel’s father’s living room, although the application was later renamed and relaunched as Snapchat.

The company raised US$485,000 in 2012 in its seed round and an also undisclosed amount of bridge funding from Lightspeed Ventures. Rumours also have spread that Microsoft and Snapchat may negotiate an acquisition. The company filed a document earlier this month authorizing a sale of 17.4 million of its shares, at a portion of a cent.

Sources also indicate that the company is also in talks with New York-based hedge funds like General Atlantic and Tiger Global apart from Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers.

According to the WSJ, Snapchat Discovery is a media play that would place ads against transient content like news and video clips.

MailOnline, the web version of Daily Mail, has been referred to as a Snapchat Discovery partner and viral biggie BuzzFeed during its last funding announcement made brief revelation that one day wants to Snapchat its content.

The core demographic of instant snapping app comprises of users in age range of 13 and 23 years of age, and also rising use by 40-years and-above aged users since October 2012.

By February 2013, Snapchat confirmed a US$13.5 million Series A funding round guided by Benchmark Capital, valuing the company at between US$60 million and US$70 million. By mid-July 2013, a media report valued the company at US$860 million.

On November 14, 2013, The Wall Street Journal reported that Facebook had offered to acquire Snapchat for US$3 billion, but Spiegel did accept the cash offer. According to Om Malik of GigaOM, Google also later offered US$4 billion on November 15, 2013 to acquire Snapchat, but Spiegel didn’t accept this offer either.

On December 11, 2013, Snapchat confirmed US$50 million in Series C funding from Coatue Management.

Pin Drop, an App and website allowing you to save, organise, and share locations, has now launched on Apple iPhone US App Store, as posted by Mike Butcher on TechCrunch. It now carries a new collaborative mapping features and the capability to have various profiles too.

Pin Drop is a location bookmarking app for saving the places that are vital to you. The Pin Drop App is a hit in London. It’s also carries a privacy revamp that allows the ability to toggle among making pins and tags public or private, facilitating users to send a list to pick recipients or share in public.

The concept is to weave a map and construct a library of your favourite locations, whether publicly shared or kept private. The new collaborative lists feature creates lists with multiple users to group subjects having common interests, viz. “Cool Bars” etc. Anonymously using the app is also possible.

Now Pin Drop users can indeed generate multiple accounts – viz. for personal, leisure or business use. It also facilitates users to attach audio and video files to pins to give more contexts around the experiences, coupled to precise places.

Pin Drop App was founded by Andy Ashburner who had also helped develop Summly, the news summarizing app acquired by Yahoo! in March, 2013. Pin Drop is mainly famous among outdoor sports fanatic’s viz. hikers, skaters, and snowboarders apart from location scouts, architects, among others.

Pin Drop’s rivals are Findery, from Flickr cofounder Katerina Fake that also raised $11m to shape a same kind of app.

Pin Drop App also provides compatibility to an API for third party developer’s integration.

If you own a Hewlett Packard or Compaq notebook computer plugged into the wall take note: your AC power cord could be a fire hazard. Time for a recall? Yup, as HP and the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission announced the need to bring back to the factory over 6 million cords across the U.S. and Canada.

The recall, according to those behind it, involves Hewlett-Packard’s LS-15 AC power cord. This part was “distributed with HP and Compaq notebook and mini notebook computers and with AC adapter-powered accessories such as docking stations. The power cords are black in color and have an ‘LS-15′ molded mark on the AC adapter end of the power cord.”

At the center of the issue is the potential the power cord could overheat, raising a potential fire and burn hazard. To date there have been 29 reported cases of these cords “overheating and melting or charring resulting in two claims of minor burns and 13 claims of minor property damage.”

The cords, which were made in China, were tied to devices that were sold at computer and electronics stores, authorized dealers and online at www.hp.com worldwide from September 2010 through June 2012 for about $500 to $1500. Those who find they have one of these defective units are advised to immediately stop using them, unplug them and contact HP to order a free replacement.

How long that free replacement will take to arrive remains to be seen, especially if HP has to process 5.57+ million American and 446,700 Canadian cords potentially. The solution in the meantime for you at home? “Continue to use the computer on battery power.” Here’s to hoping you have a very long lasting one.

To take part in the recall, call HP at (877) 219-6676 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. MT Monday through Friday or visit them online at www.hp.com and select “Recalls” at the bottom of the page, then select Power Cord Recall.

Have you yet to change your password on at least your online banking sites despite news in recent times of cyber security issues and hacking? Fear not, lazy or non-caring Web surfer, you are not alone! A recent survey finds nearly half of Americans are right there with you.

The study, which was conducted in early August, found only 53 percent of us lifted a finger to change their online banking password in the last year. It seems that a sense of false security is mostly likely to blame here, with only one in five Americans having been hacked thus far to date. This false sense of online well being is wide spread, with nearly half of Americans feeling their data is secure.

When you break this issue down along certain gender and age lines, some interesting trends emerge. Women are said to be “slightly more likely to feel that their data is less secure than men and do update their personal account passwords more frequently than men.” Also, those of us aged 18-34 tend to be only slightly concerned around this problem, while 35-54 year olds are the most frequent password changers. Those over 55, by contrast, change their passwords the most infrequently.

And should you think this issue is tied to just online passwords for banking, not so. YouGov, which did this survey, found that:

  • 51% changed personal email account passwords in last 6 months (63% in the last year)
  • 33% changed work email passwords in the last 6 months (38% in the last year)
  • 39% changed social media passwords in last 6 months (49% in the last year)

So, who’s up for changing their password(s) now?

Apple’s entry into the wearable electronics field is what has been expected from long time. It is unclear if the company is planning to launch one device or different versions according to the needs of its users. Though the release of this smart wear is hinted by many insiders none confirms the launch of the smart device during the annual September meeting.

Hope to see the new device and succeeds in this already saturated wearable market.

Top ink saving printers for smart offices

Printers are an integral part of any office. In a world where all information and nearly all work is done online, printing out you material for submission becomes the only way to have a physical copy of your work. An office typically processes a large volume of work every day that can lead to a lot of money being spent on printer ink. Cyber legends say that in the long run, printer ink and champagne cost the same, ounce for ounce. This comparison brings to light just how ludicrous printer ink costs can get. Rebecca from CartridgeInk suggests comparing between several top printer models and ink cartridges. Smart offices will heed the advice from Rebecca and spend a few extra bucks on a better printer that shows lesser overhead costs in the long run, saving thousands in the process.

Inexpensive Laser Printer

Most offices have a requirement of a fast, color printer that works well under pressure and is able to process high-volume materials. You need a professional grade printer that uses high-yield ink for impeccable presentations, financial graphs, and crisp text. The first recommendation is the Oki C610dtn. At $799, it is a bargain. The printer comes with color drums set to last 20,000 pages each. Replacing them is super economical. Black toner comes for around 1.1 cents per page, while each color will need 2.6.

Good Balance Between Quality and Quantity – Laser

The Dell 5130cdn Color Laser Printer costs $1549. The extra cost is made up for in speed and print quality. The cartridges it comes with will take a while to replace – there is a black toner set for 9000 pages, and color tones that are slated to last for 6000 each. If you want greater savings, use high-yield supplies that will give you printing costs of 6.9 cents for a four-color page!

Lowest Operating Costs – Laser

Finally, we come to the Kyocera Mita’s FS-C5300DN. At $1739, it is a little expensive, but it has the lowest operating costs, so the difference in price is more than made up for. The drums it ships with will last 200,000 pages each, which means replacements will be needed a long time later. The black toner lasts for 6000 pages, while the color toners for 5000. Full-sized replacement supplies double those figures!

Inexpensive Inkjet Printer

Canon’s Pixma iP4700 is one of the lowest costing consumer inkjet printers to keep running. A four-color page would cost 12.2 cents. For photos, the ink lasts for 665 pictures that are 4×6 in size. Costs add up to 2 cents per photograph. It has the automatic duplexer feature, which helps you conserve paper as well as ink.

Good Balance Between Quality and Quantity – Inkjet

The Hp Officejet Pro 8000 Wireless Printer is a great buy at $180. It comes with a standard and optional input try, along with automatic duplexing and Wi-Fi support. The two print heads and separate ink tanks easily load into a front bay. A four-color page would cost 9.3 cents, which is nice and low. Text is crisp and photos show good detail.

Lowest Ink Costs – Inkjet

The Epson B-510DN was recently reintroduced at $599. The consumables are much cheaper than the other printers we’ve been considering. A full-color page lasts 5.6 cents, and high yield colors make this deal even sweeter at 0.9 cents per color per page. Epson’s extra high yield blacks offer 0.87 cents per page, and automatic duplexing saves both inks and papers. The speed is better than many low-end lasers and the print quality is also good. Overall, a very good buy.

One thing it seems like you can never have enough in flying the commercial skies, besides free booze, is the right amount of wireless Internet bandwidth to do things like streaming video. That is about to change on at least one airline, Aeromexico, as it became the first to sign up with global aero-communications service provider Gogo to make use of a new technology delivering significant bandwidth increases over what is now available.

Gogo said Aeromexico will tap into its new Gogo 2Ku offering, which it first announced back in April. 2Ku is described as being capable of offering peak bandwidth speeds of more than 70 Mbps to the aircraft at launch and more than 100 Mbps to the aircraft as next generation satellites become available.

Plans call for Aeromexico, who is outfitting a number of its planes with Gogo technology, to do at least part of this installation with the 2Ku technology. If all goes according to plan the 2Ku will be ready to go, along with a wireless in-flight entertainment solution known as Gogo Vision, beginning in the fourth quarter of 2015.

For the curious, 2Ku will make use of similar low profile antennas that are reportedly “two times more spectrally efficient than other antennas in the commercial aviation market.” The performance increase, said Gogo, will “be even more dramatic in the tropical regions of the globe where the performance of other satellite solutions degrade significantly due to restrictions associated with operating at high skew angles.”

That this technology has seen a rapid increase in efficiency in recent years is a no brainer given the needs of in-flight passengers. Gogo, when it launched five years ago, offered peak speeds of only 3.1 Mbps. This jumped to 9.8 Mbps last year.

The tools we utilize to remain competitive and organize our personal lives and business continue to evolve at pace. While the one thing, since the dawn of commerce, that continues to remain the same is effective communication. Communication ensures that your products reach its intended audience; it means that your content reaches the appropriate eyes and is vital for rallying your team to accomplish more through sharing, collaboration and goal setting. Mastering communication is vital for your relationship based business.

Certainly, as business people look to achieve more, reach greater audiences and offer more value, using the tools available on the web to multiply efforts and gain better insight are necessary. Your ability to create and use a system that ensures timely and clear communication can launch you miles ahead of your competition. In addition, clear, value driven communication is one of the hallmarks of excellent customer service, which should be among the main focal points of how you do business – after all, 90% of consumers in the US say they’d more and choose the company that gives better customer service.

The app uses a card-based system for keeping your project overview as simple and straight-forward as possible. You can create custom columns like “To-Do” or “In Progress” which you can use to organize individual tasks.

Trello proves that simplicity wins as it delivers an easy to use drag and drop system which is used to move cards from column to column (i.e. after completing a task) and assign people to the card by dragging their profile picture onto the card.

Also, touted as one of the best mobile and tablet collaboration apps on the market, the mobile experience is smooth, has an easy learning curve and makes collaboration native versus being a task in itself.

Hootsuite – Reach more and grow

From a single dashboard you’re able to see and pull conversations from multiple social networks to monitor communication, schedule posts and gain the ability to respond to customers and your network quickly. Hootsuite’s social media engagement and team management features enable you to keep up with a small network of friends, family and associates or manage large scale enterprises that are overseeing campaigns that reach millions of people. The app streamlines your content, customer support efforts and branding campaigns for better organization and execution.

A setting typically found in large organization and media agencies. The app helps you to organize your company by team, department and region while delegating tasks and streamlining workflows geared towards leveraging social connections and marketing activities – offering a broad and insightful view of all communication and marketing channels.

Salesforce Chatter – Build a social network in-house

Salesforce Chatter is a customized business social network that allows users to synchronize and keep in touch without ever using email or the multitude of public social networks crowding our daily lives and activities. Built on the robust and highly customizable Salesforce1 platform, the service brings teams together by making business social. Teams are able to discuss ideas, share resources and experience in real-time to land sales opportunities, access project updates and other resources via the mobile app as well.

The service helps you create vibrant and value-driven private communities to better connect with and serve customers and create cohesive teams. Chatter also helps eliminate the lag time typically experienced in companies where knowledge, guidance and resources need to be shared between various departments and employees in different time zones. This ensures that opportunities and issues can be captured and resolved faster and fosters a culture that blossoms on communication.

Employing the use of the right communication tools will be further enhanced by first determining your objectives through the medium, getting to know your audience and what makes them click and expressing yourself in the most succinct and transparent manner possible. Make it second nature and use it to deliver value to your customers, teams and audiences.

ZipRecruiter, founded in 2010, is the easiest social networks job posting service online that automatically distributes to multiple job boards on the web.

The global market for jobseeking and hiring services is projected to be worth around $85 billion.

A startup named ZipRecruiter has recently announced a major round of funding that it expects will aide it in its endeavour to emerge as a core player in a developing recruitment market.

The Santa Monica-based recruitment outfit provides a comprehensive platform for small and medium businesses to post, distribute jobs and connect with relevant job seekers. It announced a Series A of $63 million external funding today.

The funding round is being led by Institutional Venture Partners (IVP). IVP also backs major aggregating platforms like Kayak and HomeAway; business service portals like LegalZoom; and sites like Dropbox, Snapchat and Twitter.

ZipRecruiter is attracting around 30,000 new registered users every month and is already profitable; generating “high tens of millions in monthly revenue”; and is on the verge to double sales year-on-year, CEO and co-founder Ian Siegel told TechCrunch’s Ingrid Lunden.

ZipRecruiter attracts over 3 million subscribers for the job alert emails, and it sends out 14 million alerts every day.

Ian Siegel signalled that the funding will also assist them in foraying beyond their core business, by building new products and acquisition, and for possibly escalating beyond the U.S.

The company also aims to develop more services to guide in the “natural lifecycle” in the post-hiring phase viz. managing onboarding, and payroll, insurance, and vacation tracking.

“We are at the end of a change in how job seeking happens,” Siegel says. “How employees advertise for jobs is changing. What we find intriguing are not sites that have a lot of jobseeker traffic, but where employees are congregating to post jobs.”

ZipRecruiter’s ambitions, and its present track record, are the two factors that allured IVP to lead the funding round.

Amazon, the Seattle, Washington based international e-commerce and online retailer, has confirmed acquiring Twitch, a live streaming video gaming platform, for $970 million in cash.

Amazon’s recent quarterly report states that it had around $5.06 billion in cash and equivalents at the end of the period. Amazon is poised to spend around 20 percent of its cash on the Twitch deal.

In the preceding year, Amazon forayed into expanding its internal game studio with the acquisition of Double Helix. It also hired notable developers from Microsoft, Valve, EA, and Naughty Dog.

Amazon already has strong knot to gaming as it sells, ships games and consoles, which probably provides it an exclusively informed outlook on trends in gaming arena.

The core demographic that Twitch caters to are primarily young male gamers, and it is a lucrative segment.

Amazon, if can attract a fairly enough portion of Twitch users to connect their accounts to Amazon, it can gather extremely valuable data about people’s watching behaviour. Correlating behaviour to purchasing decisions and timing may also be possible for Amazon.

Better ads across Twitch and Amazon can also provide data capable to lead towards better targeting for Amazon’s young ad display network.

Competitive gaming, on the other hand, portrays some lucrative monetization options for Amazon too. Since eSports and video game streaming too has its own celebrities’ for gaming too.

Such players win fans that follow them outside of their play time on Twitch, like watching recordings of matches on YouTube and initiating conversations on Twitter.

Twitch permits these celebrity gamers to earn decent cash from ads on their streams. Many of such celebrities also win sponsorship deals with sites viz. marketplace named G2A.com. In future we can expect Amazon to compete with small retailers and send celebrity gamers some beneficial sponsorship deals.

In a Twitch Townhall Q&A, Twitch CEO Emmett Shear and Amazon VP of Games Mike Frazzini indicated that Amazon “makes and sells a lot of its own games,” but reassured viewers that the company will “help Twitch make more money for our partners.” It means that Amazon will allow Twitch to be available on PS4 or Xbox One for some time.

Being smart is the way to live in this modern era. Sports is the field that is most concentrated on by the developers of new technology. They are implementing their amazing ideas to improve the precision and accuracy, which is the key factor for success in this field. Success and failure are different by a dime and the difference is in the above mentioned factors.

Its time for the smart wearable to make things more simpler and easy to work on. After Sony’s Smart sensor. Now Ralph Lauren has taken the technology to next level by manufacturing smart shirt for athletes.

The Polo Tech shirt has built in sensors that can measure the wearer’s heart rate and his/her movement. This tech infused smart shirt has been manufactured in association with the Canadian tech firm, Omsignal. The data so obtained by the smart sensors on the shirt is sent directly to an iOS app. This happens with the help of a Bluetooth box that can be detached when given to the laundry.Analyzing the number of Android devices being used the company has taken the task to create an Android app too.

The various advantages of this shirt makes it the first pick. It can replace the standalone fitness monitor or heat rate monitor. Also this is easier to manufacture, this makes Ralph Lauren a brand for smart sportswear while other companies are struggling to give their best.

Still in prototype stage Ralph Lauren plans to launch this master piece commercially next year. The company is planning to extent this smart sportswear to women’s style. At this point there is no hint on pricing of this product but this is going to be in line with other Polo-brand shirts.

Royal Caribbean, which had the notorious distinction earlier this year of hundreds of its passengers and crew getting sick from the norovirus, is looking to bounce back from that public relations nightmare in part through the use of new technologies for its latest ship Quantum of the Seas. The hope is those seeking vacation on this first of its new so called “smartships” will be “wowed” by what’s offered to them, even though perhaps they should be disconnecting from tech while on vacation from work.

The cruise line said its embracing of technology will allow its passengers, from the get go, to have a 21st century vacation. What this means exactly is they’ll be able to bypass the check-in counter by filling out forms online and getting their boarding documents, while also being able to track their luggage as it is put on the ship through the use of RFID tags.

While on board, passengers wearing RFID wristbands will be able to do things such as make purchases, open their room door and more all by a swipe of the wrist. This in-hand tech will be joined by a smartphone app that lets individuals see a calendar of their program itinerary as well as ” keep in touch with one another and home via phone and text capabilities.”

Should Internet access be needed, Royal Caribbean noted, it is now available via satellite technology that’s accessible from a range of devices while at sea. There’s also some other odds and ins for consumers, including being able to enjoy Xbox Live to compete against other gamers worldwide and a “robotic bar” where guests can use tablets to order drinks that are crafted by robotic bartenders.

As for when you’ll be able to board this new cruise liner, it will sail in November.

Next time you see a business lead at your organization meeting with a well dressed individual sporting a Mac laptop in a conference room, there’s a good chance it could be a so-called citizen developer helping to implement enterprise IT solutions outside the company’s normal structure. A recent IBM survey highlights this fact, finding 80 percent of organizations surveyed are going down this road in order to find creative new ways “to narrow the skills gaps in their organization, including gaps in general IT skills, application development or data analytics.”

The study, IBM said, noted these citizen developers, described as “an emerging group of industry professionals who create new business applications and help with IT decisions as a side venture — outside of their regular work responsibilities,” are helping more traditional organizations embrace application development across technologies such as cloud, analytics, mobile and social. Through this crowdsourcing of ideas and technology assets more positive results are reportedly being seen for all those involved.

In a given example, one developer of geographic information systems (GIS) software makes use of technology such as the open source Github site to share and build apps for different offerings. It also sponsors “hackathons and application challenges that drive creativity and product feedback.,” all with the goal of keeping up with what alternative developers are doing to help inform the company’s own roadmap.

Now IBM does, of course, emphasize that parties involved throughout the different angles of this citizen developer trend are somehow tied to one of the support infrastructures it hawks. Looking beyond that though it is interesting to see how readily creative companies are going outside the box in order to get their technological needs met.

Robots are going to be the next generation assistants for all the activities. With artificial intelligence picking up the pace for its implementation in the machines robot is believed to know more than a man can know in his lifetime. The robot technology involves the development of emotionally aware systems.

Now the time has come for the robots to learn and know how humans naturally behave. To teach the robots about human scientists have developed  tool named Robo Brain. This computationally large scale system learns from the publicly available internet sources and teaches the robots.

The data bank so developed in the robot will help the machines how to be useful in needed situations also understands when not to interrupt the conversation between people.

Robo Brain currently is downloading and processing the data available. It is also processing the how to documents and the manuals for the appliances in order to be available for all the purposes.

Robo Brain has access to all the images, videos and other content on the web. The tool processes the images and picks out the objects from them. It connects the processed images and videos with the text and thereby learning to recognize objects and their usage alongside human language and behavior.

This project was described at the Berkeley recently in a conference and has received appraisal from many. Wish to see these kind of teachers for all media and for all purposes. This reduces the cost by a greater extent.

DraftKings has recently raised $41 million in Series C round of funding guided by The Raine Group. The gaming company has also announced its acquisition of rival StarStreet to create a bigger foot-print in the daily fantasy sports market.

DraftKings is a Boston, Massachusetts based knowledge-oriented daily fantasy sports platform where users can play against other users for cash prizes. It was founded in 2011 by Paul Liberman, and Matt Kalish.

Apart from The Raine Group, present investors in DraftKings includes Redpoint Ventures, GGV Capital, and Atlas Venture. Notably, the company raised $25 million last November and totally it has brought in around $76.4 million in external financing from 6 investors in 5 rounds.

The company is distinctive in the arena of major fantasy sports leagues as it operates a series of daily contests that its users can log in and join. Its contests are daily mostly, except for football, or weekly — as against having season-long leagues thereby winning player commitments and long term interest.

In DraftKings, they hold a daily new series of contests to chip in while if the selected roster isn’t appealing anymore, changing it the next time is also possible.

According to co-founder and CEO Jason Robins, DraftKings anticipates paying out around $200 million in prizes this year. It will announce four monthly prizes of $1 million each through this year’s NFL season. The company had announced a $100,000 grand prize in its initial NFL season two years ago.

DraftKings is willing to leverage The Raine Group’s connections in the media, entertainment, and gaming worlds to aide in its business growth. It wants to use the funding to speed up customer acquisition via various media channels, viz. TV, radio, digital, and mobile ahead of the NFL season.

DraftKings will also channel the funding to invest in product development, and specifically to perk up its mobile products.

PlayStation Network, owned by Sony Corporation, was apparently hacked and has gone down, reports indicated on Sunday.

Sony, the leading manufacturers of electronics, video, communications, video game consoles, and IT products, responded to the obvious cyberattack via its blog. “Like other major networks around the world, the PlayStation Network and Sony Entertainment Network have been impacted by an attempt to overwhelm our network with artificially high traffic,” it stated.

“Although this has impacted your ability to access our network and enjoy our services, no personal information has been accessed.” The company also stated: “We will continue to work towards fixing this issue and hope to have our services up and running as soon as possible. We regret any inconvenience this may have caused.”

Sony Online Entertainment chief John Smedley said USA Today that the network was targeted via a DDOS attack.

Lizard Squad, a hacker group, assumed responsibility for the attack, as per the report. The group has since been tweeting about the event since the network came down.

“Network update: our engineers are aware of the issues and are working to resolve them. We’ll keep you posted – sorry for the inconvenience,” PlayStation last tweeted at 12 p.m. ET.

It also seems that the PlayStation Plus free games service is unaffected and working fine, as indicated by some Twitter users.

Reports also suggest; the flight that Smedley had boarded was reportedly diverted owing to a bomb threat.

Smedley’s plane–an American Airlines jetliner–was diverted to Phoenix. The Lizard squad actually also assumed the responsibility for the flight distraction.

GoDaddy, a Scottsdale, Arizona based web hosting giant founded in 1997, is buying an Israeli startup Mad Mimi to ramp-up its Email marketing services and to compete with Google. The purchase price of the deal is not yet given by the companies.

Mad Mimi was founded in 2008 in Brooklyn by Gary Levitt, an immigrant to Israel from South Africa. Its business is making tools for designing and sending newsletters and other mass mailings. It has the newsletter biggie MailChimp as its competitor.

GoDaddy is an acclaimed domain name registration and hosting services provider for websites. Go Daddy filed for an IPO in 2006 and later cancelled it owing to “market uncertainties” and unavailability of favourable prices. It then filed plans for IPO in June 2014 with the Security and Exchange Commission.

In June the website hosting firm filed to raise $100 million, and the forms indicate that the firm has not been money-making since 2009. It faced a loss of $279 million in 2012, $200 million in 2013 and $51 million in Q1 2014.

GoDaddy’s turnover reaches $1 billion in a year. Google Inc. has begun competing with GoDaddy’s core service, domain registration, with its Google Domains service.

Mad Mimi’s customer base comprises Air Canada, AOL, Disney, Facebook and Kellogg’s. Majority of Mad Mimi’s 250,000 customers are registered for its free service. As per the acquisition terms, Mad Mimi’s mail apparatus will be accessible to GoDaddy customers.

The Mad Mimi brand will persist. Mad Mimi was founded with almost nil capital. It garnered $110,000 during the seed-capital stage, so founder Gary Levitt will be at the receiving hand for major chunk of the money in the GoDaddy transaction.

Now hiding your feelings will be a bigger challenge than ever as the keyboard you daily use might know your feelings through your keystrokes.

Researchers and program developers have united to develop a program that can actually understand and know your feeling. The program analyses the keystrokes to identify the emotional state of the user.

Earlier typing and text patterns where tried to detect the computer user’s emotion. Combining the analysis through the typing pattern and text pattern the developers have seen promising results. The software when tested provided accurate results for about 87 percent of the time it is used. The details of this work was published in the journal Behaviour and Information Technology.

The developers of this particular software believe that their work would have a significant impact in the development of emotionally aware computer systems. Past research has taken the typing speed and the frequency of usage of backspace to identify the mood of the user. But combining the keyboard dynamics and text patterns has yielded better results.

Technologies like these can cause a revolution in the computer world. Knowing the emotional state of the user would be no benefit to the computer until and unless this knowledge is used further by another program to improve the user experience in turn.

Imagine if you are forced to work in a bad mood and if the computer understands it and plays a soothing music to improve your mood. What can be more better than this? This is an example to illustrate the effect of having a emotionally aware computer system.

Wish that there are incredible inventions like these and may we all be blessed with such a wonderful computer system as soon as possible.

Honeywell is a pioneer electronics company that has expertise in automation systems. Tuxedo Touch is the dealer from security and automation products for home and business of Honeywell. Honeywell has added its new touch of voice control to the security product thereby increasing the accessibility of the security system. Tuxedo Touch`s security and automation system controls the cameras, thermostats, lights and locks of the house.

This interactive product has a touchscreen which although not the best in market gives a satisfactory interaction with the product. The wall mounted interface controls the on-site systems whereas the offered web related apps can be used for remote access.

For this voice controlled device the trigger word is “Hello Tuxedo” , this word alerts the stand by system and wakes up the microphones to hear the instructions. The phrase “Leaving the home” will switch all the lights, adjust the thermostat to the neutral position and performs other functions defined on its system when put in away mode. All the actions are performed simultaneously without any lag and this marks the power of a processor.

Honeywell issues series of commands compatible with this instrument to perform different actions. Normally people think that it would have been better for the user and also for company indirectly if the automation system had this option of customizing the commands for various activities. Honeywell has made things easy for the end user by putting an end to the tedious customizing process.

The voice control feature has an optimal range of about 15 feet and the software updates for the product will offer new features to the user.

Gecko Design has performed design activities for various high-profile clients, viz. Aliph (Jawbone), Dell, HP, Slingmedia, OLPC and FitBit. It also spearheaded the mechanical design work behind the original activity tracker FitBit that debuted at TechCrunch50 in 2008. Google X is the resource of various ambitious projects of Google, like Google Glass, its driverless car program, the wide-reaching Internet connectivity project know as Loon and the diabetes monitoring contact lenses. Google CEO Larry Page has identified such projects as “big bets” or “moon shots.”

Gecko design is anticipated to provide Google with some major product design works to aide launching new hardware to market, with manufacturing and industrial design capabilities.

Internet behemoth Google has ventured into acquisition bandwagon this year. It has also acquired other companies for X like the preceding years acquisition of wind-turbine developer Makani Power, founded in 2006 and based in Alameda, California.

Branding a tech to be the top and most popular is kinda hard because of the rapid changes. If we have to give a list of the top technology in this year wearable would be on the top. These top tech has made everything smart include the watch which now is termed as wearable.

Samsung electronics has been the pioneer in the gadget world leading its competition. This Korean giant was the first to launch a smart watch which was not a commercial success as expected. This led Samsung R&D to introspect the device and find the reasons for the failure. They came up with the second version of the Gear which was a hit among the technology enthusiasts.

It has been few months that Gear 2 has launched and reached the end user but Samsung has already planned the successor of Gear 2 in the line of smart watches. The Samsung Gear 3 will be more curvier, rectangular according to a source who spoke to PocketNow and is familiar with the hardware of the smart watches.

Gear 3 may debut in the coming few weeks at IFA 2014. According to the sources the Gear 3 might not have a camera but  include a cellular radio however there has been no complete information about this particular feature and also the reason behind the branding of Gear 3 as Gear Solo is unknown until its official release.

Samsung has again proved that it has the same strategy as that of mobile for its smart watches, which is ‘release as many models as possible in short time and observe which one satisfies the end user, the most. Hope to see Samsung Galaxy Note 4 and Gear Solo to debut together.

Google Inc. has emerged victorious against a complaint brought by VG Media, at the Federal Cartel Office, Germany.

VG Media had filed an objection against Mountain View, California based Google for giving users access to their news articles without paying the publishers any penny.

Various German publishers, also comprising Axel Springer and Burda, initiated the action. They demanded Google to pay them a share for allowing their news articles to be accessed by public on the search engine.

The group of publishers were actually not happy with the manner in which Google used to surface their articles to general public.

However, Andreas Mundt, president of Germany’s Federal Cartel Office, stated in a statement on Friday that: “Sufficient suspicion is always necessary to initiate an abuse procedure. The complaint from VG Media did not establish this.”

The Federal Cartel Office found no suspicion of abuse, and opined that Google is mere doing the job of a search engine.

German legislation made official a year ago stipulates that publishers can cease search engines from utilizing their news articles further than very limited excerpts.

The cartel office has ruled that the range of that legislation is not fully clear, but it would maintain monitoring Google’s handling of publishers’ and initiate anti-trust proceedings if deemed necessary.

On the contrary, Spain has passed a law mandating news aggregators like Google News to pay publishers a fee when linking to their content.

Supporters reason that this is meant to prevent copyright infringements. Opponents convey it restricts the freedom of expression.

Notably, it was in Spain that the “right to be forgotten” was first initiated, with the European Commission ruling that individuals can demand Google eliminate problematic links about them from search results exhibited in Europe.

The ruling however does not pertain to Google.com, the portal used most for search activities on the internet nowadays.

Amris, the UK e-recruitment firm, owned by The Internet Corporation Limited has acquired Los Angeles based social recruitment platform, Zao, as posted by Steve O’Hear on TechCrunch,

Details of the deal are still undisclosed. Zao is revolutionizing social recruiting by allowing companies to offer referral rewards to their professional and personal networks for referral hires, apart from their employees.

Zao makes available a whole world of referrals from former employees, vendors, professionals and business partners.

Founder and former CEO, Ziv Eliraz, is believed to be joining the company’s advisory board. Founded in late 2011, Zao aims to eliminate the hitch in which the prime source for company hires — referrals — are usually catered to in a very manual manner.

Someone from the HR department initiates an email communication to all staff detailing a job opening and staff members are kept to wonder how to leverage their networks to discover and attract appropriate candidates to apply.

Zao’s platform, on the other hand, makes available a step-by-step and gamified process that automatically connects job descriptions with fitting Facebook and LinkedIn contacts to make it easier for employees and/or ex-employees to act as recruiters.

In June 2012, the Zao raised a $1.3 million seed round spearheaded by Oren Zeev, Founding Partner at Orens Capital and ex-General Partner at Apax Partners.

Zao’s other investors include, Oren Dobronsky (Founding Partner at Orens Capital), Zohar Gilon, Gary Ginsberg (EVP, Corporate Marketing and Communications at Time Warner), and Donald Katz (CEO of Audible).

Amris opines that Zao’s social referral product will be offered as a “fully integrated” and optional module for current Amris users. It will however, also continue to be made available as an independent offering too.

Columbia University has created a new tool that provides the information regarding how some of the popular websites make use of the personal information provided to them. This information is provided by the user on the term that it is kept confidential but the research shows that it has become transparent.

It is a known fact that most popular websites and other online services track and store the information from the users. The sensitive they store includes location, emails and search histories etc. These services are useful as they try and improve the user experience throwing suggestions to the user. However, it is almost impossible to know exactly how this stored information is being used. The complex algorithms must be doing the work.!!

XRay is a software tool that is created and developed by the scientists at the Columbia University which helps to understand the way this information is used. It uses a probabilistic mathematical model to correlate the inputs and the outputs. This probabilistic model gives a good sense of the usage of data with an accuracy of 80 to 90 percent.

The current version of XRay analyzes data from Gmail, Amazon and YouTube. The developers promise that the new releases of this software can easily adapt to new websites and also the possibility of tracking across multiple services.

This software at present is in development stage at the university. The developers are planning to release this under an open-source license. Their motto is to help the development of new generation software that makes the web a lot more transparent helping user understand the way their personal sensitive information is used.

Gaming for charity is the motto of “The Fine Young Capitalists” (TFYC) initiative, based at Toronto, Ontario, Canada, to create media using under represented labour, for uncharted demographics to fund non-profit organizations.

The teams selected five women who had never designed a video game before and provided them professional concept artists to develop their ideal game, for charity gaming. After creating a prototype and the team now wants the internet to vote on the best game to be made a reality and give all the proceeds to charity via gaming.

The five games that were designed are, Afterlife Empire, Furball Fury, Air Rocky, My Eyes, and Lux.

Afterlife Empire is a top down isometric strategy game where the player takes on the role of a ghost in their own haunted house. Inspired by the likes of Theme Hospital and Dungeon Keeper, it focuses on character interaction as well as base building. You begin with a one room shack and steadily develop your home up until it turns into a haunted wonder of the world. As the player spooks the humans that enter their haunted house, they be paid “Notoriety.”

Furball Fury is a mix of a racing game, world builder and insanity. Set inside the body of a cat, the player assumes the role of a Furball headed on a magical adventure to collect stray hairballs inside a cat’s body. Furball Fury is a casual racing game that apart from allowing you to challenge your friends on a race track also allows you to design and share your own maps via an easy editor.

Air Rocky is a party game that rests on the concept that everyone carries a mobile device. Inspired by Air Hockey, it builds on the concept with dynamic tables, multiple pucks and a Rock, Paper, Scissor dynamic. Players may drift in and out at leisure, as rounds are lightning-fast and the restart is also easily possible.

My Eyes is a very easy to use world builder, a simple tool for creating complex interactive stories and 2D gaming experiences even on the iPad. It is also PC supported, though.

Lux is a puzzle platformer set in a gorgeous and detailed world. The player assumes the role of Alabaster, a curious and resolute character who utilizes light, reflections and refractions to discover the cities of the underworld.

The best part according to the project visionaries’ state on their Indiegogo contribution page is anyone who supports this project receives a percentage of the profits to donate to the charity of their liking, and that too via gaming. This is different from owning a stock or equity though. Supporters also get a say on the issues of game design and marketing.

TFYC are working with Autobotika, a transmedia company based in Bogotá, Colombia, to produce their first video game.

Oracle and several of its executives are sued by Oregon Attorney General Ellen Rosenblum over the tech giant’s role in the state’s uneasy health insurance exchange.

Rosenblum has filed a 126-page lawsuit against Oracle stating in the complaint that “today’s lawsuit clearly explains how egregiously Oracle has disserved Oregonians and our state agencies,” according to FM News 101 KXL’s website.

The lawsuit was filed on Friday in the Marion County Circuit Court. The suit seeks over $200 million in damages. It contends that Oracle officials issued false statements and submitted sham claims.

Oracle was the major technology contractor working on Oregon’s health insurance enrolment portal, recognized as Cover Oregon. But it couldn’t meet the Oct. 1 deadline last year, and Oregonians are now registering for healthcare manually via paper forms.

The website unfortunately was never made opened to the general public and turned out to be a political issue to the Democratic Gov. John Kitzhaber, who is aiming for re-election.

Oracle, on the other hand, filed its own lawsuit Aug. 8 for violation of contract over $23 million in dubious bills. The company blames Oregon for the website’s debacle, claiming that the state had inept and faltering staff.

Oracle has charged the state over $90 million in the preceding two years, while Cover Oregon is declining to pay the invoices.

According to reports, the state of Oregon has remunerated $134 million to Oracle by now; this is apart from $7 million for preparing the paper-based process.

As an alternative of signing up for health insurance in the Affordable Care Act at one go, Oregonians were using a hybrid paper-online process that was pricey and sluggish The state had to recruit more than 400 workers to aid them.

The FBI and the federal Government Accountability Office are also scrutinizing Oregon’s exchange issues.

TouchPico, by Singapore based Touchjet Pte. Ltd., is a tiny handheld projector that transforms any surface into a giant 80″ interactive touchscreen.

TouchPico is an interactive Android PC with projected touch interface and wireless streaming.

It allows you to project an 80 inch display to any flat surface, interact via the use of Stylus to touch the wall (like a smartphone touchscreen) since the projector can read touch commands.

Initiating a two-way conversation e.g. projecting your Skype chat on a wall, downloading any app from Google Play and use as general is also possible on TouchPico.

The company states that TouchPico is fully compatible with Apple MacBook or PC laptops too.

Streaming from anywhere is a notable feature of the TouchPico. It allows streaming any application from the projector and controls it with phone’s touchscreeen or stream from your Mac or PC using mouse, for this although a Wi-Fi router is needed.

TouchPico carries utility for children, parents, teachers, dancers, businessmen, yoga enthusiasts, and even gamers.

Business users, as the company conveys, now do not need an expensive, non-portable projector or need not remain confined to their laptop screen to present their latest proposal.

Educational utility provided by the projector include using it as a portable device capable to be carried from classroom to classroom, thereby eliminating costly hardware upgrades.

Gaming nerd’s can now enjoy their favourite games with an even bigger screens, just touch the wall and play.

Entertainment purposes can well be fulfilled by projecting your favourite movie in your child’s bedroom while camping or on vacation. Also, for physical activity, practising yoga pose or a golf stance with an enlarged video tutorial would just be perfect.

TouchPico’s infrared detection technology tracks the stylus and allows you to control and interact with the image that is projected on any surface at 40 frames per second. The stylus has a tiny infrared emitter. Its signal is captured by the projector’s tiny built-in infrared camera and processed by an image processor to convert it into touch screen coordinates.

The company aims to initiate shipping of TouchPico in mid-October, 2014.

Samsung has evolved, over the years, to be the most influential and most innovative mobile manufacturer. With its ‘one of its kind’ designs and specifications Samsung`s gadgets have become the most popular ones around the globe. The mobile giant alongside its partners have become pioneers in showing the world new imaginative directions. Samsung had come up with Samsung Galaxy Round which was unique in the market with its curved display.

Reaching the beyond has always been the primary focus of the company. This attitude has lead to greater inventions. Now the Korean mobile giant has come up with yet another stunning feature called three sided display phone. Samsung lately has been concentrating on the increase of user experience through the screen. This three sided display is one of those products to improve the display.

According to a Korean supplier of Samsung parts the mobile manufacturer has reportedly started testing the three sided displays. These displays on passing the tests find potential application on the company`s mobile devices such as smartphones and tablets.

The technology has been in rumors for quite some time now but Samsung has made it possible at last. The sources claim that mobile devices with this  display could go into the production by the end of this year. However production in large scale may be delayed.

Samsung has always been the one which reaches out and satisfies the customer completely. This commitment from Samsung has made it unique. Like the company the three sided display also uses unique material. The screen utilizes a plastic substrate which is limited in quantity and difficult to work with.

We in this modern and technologically advanced era of life are the audience for the most remarkable and stunning innovation all time. The launch of smartphone and tablet has caused a revolution in the ways the gadgets can be used by any user. This device which can be held in your palm now acts the source of information, the invisible god for many. The screens of these devices is the major entity contributing to such a success of these devices.

The increased sizes of these tablet screens has virtually avoided the usage of a projector to see the picture on a big screen. The word projector makes us think about the big box like thing which has wires all over connected. But in recent years researchers have aimed to reduce the size of the projector so significantly that it can be carried in pocket.

The outcome of such a though from the LG`s researchers is the Bluetooth MiniBeam projector. This projector can be carried to where ever possible to project sizes of images upto 100 in(254 cm).

The LED light source of the LG mini beam projector projector throws out brighter and sharper images for a clear view of the content with a pixel resolution of 1280 x 800. The LG mini beam projector comes with USB, HDMI, RGB, Component and AV inputs including the support for WiDi and Miracast.

Connecting a audio device has never been so easy as in MiniBeam projector. The projector is provided with Bluetooth 3.0 which allows streaming of audio wirelessly through any bluetooth enabled audio system or headphones. The device is also provided with two speakers if no such option is available.

LG mini beam projector will be displaying at IFA next month. Pricing of the device yet to be announced by the company.

We humans know what is pain when there is an physical injury on the skin which is one of the sensory organs of the body. It senses the change on its exterior and sends small electrical pulses to brain to act accordingly. Researchers at BAE Systems are developing a system that can feel or sense the exterior damage done to the air craft and notify the engineers about the potential problems to the airplane.

The idea for this kind of technology was inspired from the human skin which reacts to the damage or injury notifying the brain for counter measures. The British defence contractor BAE Systems said that this one of its kind technology will prevent any kind of mishaps by effectively detecting the problem before it even occurring.

This technology works by covering the entire body of the air craft with tens of thousands of micro-sensors that sense the changes and if present will notify the engineers. These micro devices measure different parameters such as the wind speed, temperature, strain and movement.

Sensors have been the most important invention till date. They have become the source of information by sensing the particular parameter for which it was designed for and forwarding the information to the processor. A sensor despite the size senses the changes accurately. For example a tiny sensor in the dryer prevents over heating of the device thereby avoid the accident. This simple idea of sensing the changes is in development on a larger scale for an air craft.

These micro-sensors seem to be like dust particles have their power sources and can be sprayed all over the aircraft like paint. Hope and wish that this new paint of micro-sensors decreases the number of mishaps.

We all must have seen long endurance flights and vertical take-off and landing (VTOL) air crafts till now. But did you ever imagine of a hybrid that can launch vertically and then complete a long-endurance flight? A team from NASA’s Langley Research Center believe that they have developed a system which can perform both the tasks equally well.

The GL-10, Greased Lightning (GL) aircraft effectively combines the challenges: long endurance and Vertical Take-Off and Landing (VOTL) flight. The nine props on the wings and tail provide the lift. There are also a pair of diesel engines stored in fuselage that run continually to recharge the batteries which provide the energy that is needed to life the whole structure off the ground. The prototype has the advantage of advanced design of hybrid diesel electric drive train, namely, scalable Distributed Electric Propulsion (DEP).

The lightweight design of the airframe exploits this advantage providing efficient vertical take-off and a forward flight for 24-hour endurance. The effective increase in the efficiency proportionally increases in the design of aerodynamics and control system of the air craft. The complexity puts a hard challenge to the developers and scientists. Though this type of propulsion poses complex aerodynamic modelling it has numerous advantages such as the excess power in transition, propulsive control power in all flight modes, provides surface control power and lower wing incidence angle.

The 60 pound prototype has made its maiden flight on 19th of August and is scheduled to have an untethered flight test later this year. If it proves successful NASA uses this prototype exclusively for propulsion research. And the team belives that this hybrid can be adapted to aircraft of any size as it is just a matter of scaling up the system

Bubbly is a Singaporean voice-based social media app firm that is peddled to be the twitter and instagram for your voice. Post considering a series of close call acquisition bids, Bubbly is set to be acquired by Chandhigarh, India based, Altruist Technologies. The financials of the deal are not yet made official.

Altruist, is a mobile social networking services provider having its presence in various markets like Europe, Africa, and Asia. The deal shall add Bubbly’s over 40 million users across Asia and the Middle East, along with 140 million BubbleTalk users across India and Asia, to Altruist’s vast portfolio of voice-based services.

Altruist Technologies believed that the app would complement and benefit their 80 million users strong European and African voice platform business. The workforce from both companies will now assemble together and relocate to India or Indonesia owing to their massive user-base in these countries.

Bubbly’s present investors had previously opined they would liquidate the social media start-up. But they are extremely bullish towards Bubbly now, and are willing to stay associated as minority shareholders in the combined entity, as per an official statement.

It is worth noting that, Bubbly had received US$39 million from venture capital stalwart firms like Sequoia Capital, Singtel Innov8, JAFCO Asia.

Bubbly had initiated five rounds of venture capital funding since 2006. Their preceding fund-raise, in 2012, was for US$5 million and comprised JAFCO Asia, Innov8, and Sequoia.

As per TechInAsia’s previous report, according to sources, Bubbly was on the brink of liquidation, since a few acquisitions deals it followed didn’t work out that well. Bubbly had initiated the due diligence process various times in the preceding nine months, expecting acquisitions.

Rocket Internet, the Berlin-based e-commerce incubator and investor, is anticipated to go for a public listing on the Frankfurt stock exchange, probably in the month of September. The incubator firm is valued at around $5.7 billion and is likely to list stakes of around 15 percent by selling new shares, according to industry sources. Sources also opine that the venture capital firm is aiming to raise about 800 million euros.

Munich, Germany based Holtzbrinck Ventures, an active and sustainable investor in Rocket Internet portfolio companies globally, is substituting the shares it has in those companies for a 2.5% share in Rocket Internet. There is no cash exchanging involved here though.

Rocket Internet had recently sold a 10.7% stake in itself to United Internet for €435 million. The entire gamut of Rocket Internet by far is resting on the premise of the idea of generating multiple entities with independent profiles. The objective is to potentially make them lucrative for exits and selling to other companies.

However, Rocket Internet has been lately consolidating various firms in individual markets to attain better economies of scale. Pursuant to the HV transaction, Rocket will be able to pursue its strategic objective of possessing larger stakes in its companies.

Presently, the shareholding scenario is as follows: AB Kinnevik has 18.1%; Access Industries owns 8.3%; PLDT 8.4% and United Internet 10.4%, with Rocket Internet founders, the Samwer Brothers, holding 52.3% via their Global Founders Fund; and now Holtzbrinck accounts for 2.5% holding.

Post the recent investments by PLDT and United Internet; Rocket Internet is now wholeheartedly welcoming Holtzbrinck Ventures as its new shareholder. This acquisition is believed to allow Rocket to progress on its strategic objective of possessing larger stakes in the most recognized companies it has nurtured in the preceding five years.

Notably, ClickBus, the online booking platform for bus travels, has recently garnered an additional USD 10 million funding from Latin America Internet Group, Tengelmann Ventures, Holtzbrinck Ventures and Rocket Internet.

Estimote Beacons and Stickers, by New York based Estimote Inc., are little wireless sensors meant to be attached to any location or object.  They broadcast minute radio signals that a smartphone can obtain and construe, to unlock micro-location and contextual consciousness.

Beacon provider Estimote is venturing deeper into the context business with Bluetooth-enabled stickers called Nearables. These stickers will allow your smartphone to recognize better about it’s environment and facilitate developers to weave sturdy new experiences.

The Estimote SDK, apps on smartphones are capable to recognize their closeness to close locations and objects, identify their type, ownership, estimated location, temperature and motion.

This data may be utilized to prepare a new generation of magical mobile apps that attach the real world to your smart device. Estimote Beacons are certified iBeacon™ compatible and geared up for deployment at scale.

Post installation, e.g. next to an entry door or on product shelves, they begin broadcasting small radio signals. Such signals can be picked up by consumers’ smartphones, at which point the compatible app triggers different actions, e.g. welcoming consumers to the store, exhibiting coupons or aid to navigate the store layout very accurately.

Estimote recently released a developer kit version that offers 10 stickers for $99. Futuristically, the Beacon sticker could become capable to store ownership info, or even broadcast your pet’s information to those running the app in the vicinity, if you trigger an alert.

Using the sticker to offer context about your presence in the home is also an appealing feature of Estimote stickers. Within each sticker a powerful dose of electronics, with a microcontroller, memory and radio on a single die and then an accelerometer and gyroscope on the board are present. Power to the electronics is provided by a Lithium ion battery.
